By the way the last episode, the ending of the last episode, that was I think that was epic right there.
Oh really?
Did you notice I did a little bit of a slower version of an echo?
Oh, you didn't notice that?
Like my echo was a little bit slower.
Oh really?
Okay, if you didn't notice that you need to go check out the last episode, the very end.
You got the technique.
Right, I got, I was like a millisecond slower with the echo.
Oh really?
So it made like a more, more like a dreamy kind of image right there.
Okay, let's do the opening.
Let's try this right there.
[Humming]
Welcome to Kevin's English Room Podcast!
Alright.
That was slower than you, right?
Yeah.
Wider than you.
It was wider but it had like a little bit of an edge voice that I didn't really like.
So that was a failure for me. I'm sorry about that. That was a failure opening. I'm not going to do that again.
Okay.
By the way.
I think no one cares about that.
[Laughter]
It's okay.
Okay.
We care.
No, yeah.
Right? That's all about it.
Well, I'm thinking about the new house. I mean new place.
New house? Wow.
You know, planning to move out.
Right.
New city, new town.
Uh huh.
And my question for you is what is your like dream house?
I got it. Alright. That's an easy one for me.
Oh really?
So my dream house is I want to live in a tower mansion.
Oh really?
But do not get this confused.
Like really high place.
Exactly.
Building huge.
But you can't please do not like headline read this.
Okay.
Don't headline read and think that I'm a flashy guy because I'm very opposite of that.
I don't want you to get that kind of image.
What was that?
I want to get that down straight.
Okay.
So I want to live in a tower mansion because of the infrastructure that's around it.
Oh.
Right?
Because okay.
I really the few the several things that I like about a new house about a tower mansion about like a luxurious building is that one it's
The entrance is luxurious, right?
That's one thing that I really love about it's just I don't know.
Okay, it's um, I get really excited when I enter like a like a fancy engine.
That's one thing right?
Like little like forest thing.
Right?
Like the little trees on the side of the room.
Right?
And little lights.
Exactly.
Exactly.
Behind street.
Right?
That is that excites me.
Oh, really?
Right?
That's one thing that really turned me on.
So you can go you can visit there if you don't live that even if you don't live there you can go.
Right.
I want to be able to go back and call it my house.
Like I want to I want to feel that I'm living here.
Okay.
Number two.
All right.
It has gyms.
Oh.
Sports gyms in the same building.
Right.
How convenient is that?
Oh, yeah.
Okay.
Having a gym in the same same building.
How convenient is that?
I don't know how.
That is very convenient.
Okay.
And also there it's very likely that it's gonna have some sort of a convenience store or some sort of supermarket.
It's gonna allow me to go there.
03:00
Just how convenient is that?
Okay.
Thank you for mention that.
And and what the other thing is it's usually the one that I want to live in is connected to some sort of a railroad station like a JR station.
Right?
It's actually connected with roof on top.
Oh, yeah.
How convenient is that?
Okay.
Thank you.
So you like that phrase, huh?
Right.
It's very convenient.
So you don't have to go out like when it's raining.
Yes.
You don't have to be poor by rain.
It's the convenience.
It's the level of convenience and the luxury level that I love.
Okay.
And I don't want you to get confused that I'm not doing this to flash off to anyone.
And I and okay.
So one thing that I want to prove to you is I want to live in the third floor.
Yeah.
Yes.
I've always told you this before.
I do not I have no interest in living in the highest floor.
Yeah.
All the time.
I see the floor.
The lower it is the better better the lower the lowest floor is usually the third floor.
So the third floor second floor.
It's usually like the lobby.
Okay.
Right or like something else.
Okay.
Maybe like a like a library or something.
Right something something like that.
It's usually the third floor.
That's the lowest.
I've done my homework.
I see it.
So you want to live.
Yes.
At the lowest floor.
Yes.
Of really high.
A town.
A town mansion.
Exactly.
That is interesting for me.
It doesn't have to be a town mansion.
It just has to be like.
Yeah.
The facility has to be at the highest level.
Oh, it doesn't have to be high.
It could be like a it could be in Chiba or it could be in Saitama.
Right.
Where they have where it's far out on the sides.
Right.
Not up above.
Right.
Like kind of huge city.
Right.
If it's like a huge city that's good too.
Yeah.
You know there's a Shonan smart town.
Right.
Could you sell a smart town?
Right.
Like the tea site Shonan.
There's a city around that.
Right.
That is just as appealing as the town mansion for me.
Really?
Because it's got the it's got the mall.
It's got the tea site facility just near my house.
It's very far from a station.
But it's got the tea site that's good enough for me.
Really?
But you don't have a gym.
Right.
Yeah.
That's a that's a negative point.
But like it's that is a negative point.
So I would prefer the the tower mansion with all the facility that I just mentioned.
But I do still find it appealing just as much as the tower mansion.
It doesn't have to be tall building.
Right.
It just has to have the facility.
Okay.
That's very convenient in the convenient area.
Okay.
Of my vicinity.
Okay.
Okay.
Yes.
So you don't want to be living like the middle of Tokyo.
No.
Something like that.
Right.
Not.
Yeah, I don't.
I don't.
It doesn't have to be like a shiragawa.
It doesn't have to be Roppongi.
It just has to have a facility that's nice.
06:00
Okay.
Period.
Right there.
That's all.
Okay.
So what about you?
How about how about you?
Well, me, you were it's open.
It's bright.
Uh-huh.
With Sun Sun Sunlight coming in.
Yeah, like huge window and the place where I can play the piano at and sing loud anytime I want.
That's the most important thing.
So like a house in itself or like apartment?
I don't care.
It doesn't matter.
Right.
My dream is a house.
Like a big house.
A house like a house.
Yes.
And right.
I don't want to leave that tower.
Why not?
Because it's kind of scary for me.
What is it?
It's really tall.
Uh-huh.
And really like like so many people leave around me.
Well, think about think about how many people live around me when you.
Yeah.
At that kind of mansion.
Yeah, but same as like a normal apartment where you're living right now.
Yeah, but think about if it's 60 floor.
Yeah.
You know, how many people like thousands of people are above you.
That's scary to you.
Like it's it's it's kind of weird for me.
It's strange for me.
Wow.
That's new.
I never thought of I've never had that feeling.
If I imagine that.
Uh-huh.
You think it might like fall down or something?
Oh, yeah, maybe.
I guess it's like earthquake.
Yeah.
That kind of.
That is some fear.
Yeah, that's true.
But but like people living there and there.
Uh-huh.
That that that that not only applies to the tower.
That applies to all mansions, right?
Yeah.
Right.
But if it's huge.
Uh-huh.
You know, there's more.
Right.
Thousands of people breathing around me.
Wow.
That's like walking around.
If I can.
Wow.
With that.
You.
OK.
So maybe like more of a like a rural area would be suitable for you.
I think so.
Lots of nature.
Nature.
River.
River.
Right.
I love river.
Like when I was in Kyoto, it was Kamogawa River.
Right.
You love that place.
I love that.
Yeah.
Right.
So how about being far from Tokyo?
Does that matter to you?
No.
OK.
I don't have to be living Tokyo.
How about how about being able to meet your friends?
Well.
If you're like in Kyoto, like you're not going to be able to access your friends as much as
you were if you were in Kanagawa or Tokyo.
Right.
Because most of your friends are in Tokyo.
Right.
Or Kanto area.
Do you know?
I don't want you to think of me as some kind of cold man.
That's OK.
That's OK.
But for me, it's not that.
Like vital thing.
OK.
Like it's really important to me, of course, the friend is important to me, but it's not
09:02
a vital thing.
Right.
You know what I mean?
Yeah, I understand.
Like you don't get you don't have to have the friendship fulfillment to live your life.
You don't.
It's not super necessary.
It's really important though.
But it's not the essential part of.
Right.
Like it's not the root.
Right.
We're trying to find a way to say you seem like a like an awful guy.
Right.
But I feel like when I was in Kyoto, some friends came to my house.
You know, that's that's great.
That was fun for you.
Yeah.
Right.
You don't you don't hate the fact that you're meeting a lot of friends.
It's not a stress point for you.
No.
OK.
Interesting.
Interesting.
OK.
But like my friend, I like you.
Of course, of course, of course, of course.
Of course.
That's it's true.
I have to mention that it's life treasure.
Yeah.
Your friends are the best.
Yes.
That's what you need to have in your life.
Right.
Yes.
But you don't need to meet them all the time.
Do you have how about how about Zoom calls?
Does that you know, you know, Zoom.
I know you're right about that.
Zoom.
I heard about that.
You what do you think about that?
Do you think that fulfills your your whatever it feels when you meet your friends?
If it even fulfills a bit.
Yeah.
Do you think you're going to like the Zoom?
I don't know.
I've never done that before.
But it's basically the video.
It's right.
Right.
Video chatting.
Yeah.
And having alcohol and Otsumami.
Oh, well, first of all, I don't drink.
Right.
So I don't need alcohol.
So it is OK.
I mean, OK, just just it's not a requirement with my friends through the.
Yes.
Yes.
Wifi.
Right.
That's it.
That's it.
That's it.
But why seems fun like that?
I mean, to me, you're a very non-tech technology guy.
So I feel like you don't even do social media.
So like I feel like I do.
I have line.
I have email.
Nineteen ninety seven guys.
We're in nineteen ninety seven.
I have telephone.
You can call me.
So like I thought that, you know, those kinds of, you know, being connected through a digital
infrastructure would be something that you don't feel the connection.
I think that would be something that you might say.
I thought, you know, in my opinion, you know, meeting face to face is much better for me,
of course.
But I live far from them.
It's OK.
OK.
I want in the next episode, I want to talk to you about how you interpret your friends
because I we talked about this in the past.
That was very interesting.
We can talk about the next episode.
OK.
Yeah.
All right.
You should check out the next episode.
It's going to be very interesting.
OK.
Let's do the jingles.
12:00
OK.
Thank you for listening to Kevin's English podcast.
We'll see you next time.
