Tamamura Town students experience making wheat straws.

A straw-making experience event was held in Tamamura Town on the 4th using Tamamura Town-grown Rokujo barley,
where 18 fifth and sixth graders made over 200 straws. The experience event will be held at all elementary and junior high schools in the town by the end of July. The wheat straws that are made will be boiled and sterilized at the Tamamura Town School Lunch Center
and used in school lunches on "School Lunch Gunma Day" in October.
