緊急連絡の重要性
Welcome to Kevin's English Room Podcast. Yes. Oh yeah. Great quality of opening. Right.
Been a while since I've done one of these. Yeah. Like full quality openings. Uh-huh. Yeah. Great.
Podcast. Good. So this is, um, all right, put that one, different one.
This is from Kaori-san. Kaori-san? Yes. Thank you. Hello.
Oh, one of the aggressive episodes. Okay.
Wow.
Wow.
Thank you. When's the last time you 焦る?
焦るね。焦る。
Like not in a rush. Like being in a rush is different from 焦る。 Okay. Yeah. Like you have to be like あたふたする。
I've never seen you あたふたする。 I mean, I do. I'm sure I do. Have you done that in front of me?
Yeah, I may, probably I do. Within the last year, you've done that? I mean, I believe I, I think so, but the truth is I can't remember when was the last time I did that, including in any.
Like when you're in house, outside, right? Like not just in front of me.
It's different from surprised, right? Yeah. Like you don't know what to do, but you have to do something. But like, like your brain just isn't working because it's just so sudden.
焦る。焦る。
Well, I think it's a little bit different from that. But a few weeks ago, I was kind of with my, I was in the studio and did something and then phone call from my mom suddenly.
And it's kind of not often that she calls me. She sends us, send me lines many times, but phone call is something. Well, it emerges. Yeah. And I was like, oh, it's kind of scary. Sorry. It says my mom in it.
電話の代わりにSMSを提案
もしもし。 And then she says, あ、今大丈夫? And I was like, what? Oh, shit. Yeah. It's scary. Yeah. And then she says, あのおばあちゃんがさ。 And I was like, what? Are you getting ready to receive the news?
And that was the moment I was very焦る。 And I didn't know what to do. And just my body temperature got high. And like a little bit shaking my hand, didn't know nothing to do. Yeah. And she went like あのお梨を送りたいって言ってるんだけどさ。
What? What? So bad for your heart. Yeah. あの、今度の水を呼びて家にいる? Yeah, of course. Every time is fine. Thank you so much. I was like, wow. She could have done that over a text, no? Yeah. But I guess she was with my grandma.
Oh, so she needed the answer on the spot. I see. Yeah. Buying it. I see. I see. But I was, that moment I was 焦る。 But very short time, you know? Yeah. It's like a little bit scary side and surprising side. That's true. A little bit different from. That's true. Yeah.
Yeah. That was 焦ったね。 Yeah. You know, this is going to get a little bit off topic, but like I have a, I have an idea for everybody in Japan. You know, phone calls are people, a lot of people hate phone calls, right? Because they just, they just steal your time.
Yeah. Especially recent, like younger generations. Younger generations, they're like, it's like, you have to stop whatever you're doing for the, and then you have to answer. Right. Yeah. It's not a good deal. Right. So people hate phone calls. Okay. And I kind of agree. Like, I kind of like understand how that feels.
And those situations where like, Hey, I kind of need the answer quick, but it's not like an emergency emergency. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Where it's not like a phone call or the emergency. How about we use SMS for sub-emergency communications?
So not line or those text things, but you use short messages, short messages, because lines, well, I don't have my notifications turned on for line. So first of all, I don't, I can't be very responsive online. But short messages, I get a ding. Okay. So, and it's text. And I think it's, I think it's worth it.
I think it's worth trying. I think it's worth everybody trying. We communicate a sub-emergency text over short messages. Thoughts? That's an idea. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. But it depends on the settings, right? So, yeah. So you have to turn on your short message notification. Yes. That is the deal. That is the deal. Okay. That's the deal.
And you get some like air-conditioning thing. But hold on, hold on. But not as frequent as like line messages, right? True. You get all sorts of shitty messages online. So, yeah. And you know, short messages tend to be more, more important. Yes. Yeah. I agree. Right. I agree.
It's more like official ones. Exactly. Exactly. Using your phone number. Yeah. So, yeah. Good idea, no? Good idea. Yeah. Yes. Good idea. Good idea, right? Yeah. Right. Yeah. So I can apply that. Yeah. It's true. I just wanted to get that out and everybody know that that's an idea. So, yeah. That's right. That's right. Yeah. Yeah. Good idea.
I've never used short message as a communication tool before. Oh, really? Yeah. That was only when I was in France, we used that. But in Japan, we kind of, it's very rare that I, well, one email or line or other, you know, like applications. Like a Facebook message or something like that. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I like those. Yeah. I agree.
ショートメッセージの重要性
Yeah. Maybe we can utilize that short message more. Yeah. I think America uses a lot of those short message shit. So, the features are getting better and better on the iPhone. Oh, I see. But people aren't using it. Oh. Yeah. So. It's a good idea. It's a good idea, right? Yeah. I just wanted to implement that. Yeah. Yeah. It's true. Yeah. Yeah. So, should use that more. Utilize it. Yeah. Please do it. Right. All right. Thanks for listening, guys. Thank you. Bye-bye.
Bye-bye.
