Thanks.
Welcome to Kevin's English Room podcast.
Hey guys, how you doing?
That was a nice reverb.
Yep.
Reverb?
Reverb?
Yeah.
Reverb?
Reverb.
Reverb.
That was a nice reverb.
Thank you.
You're really enjoying the little track pad right there.
I like that.
Sound pad.
I like this machine.
It's fun to use, right?
Yeah.
Yeah.
And I can control the, you know, sounds and...
Sounds and everything.
Yeah.
All right.
Yeah.
So, we have so many messages from the, you know, the audiences.
Yes.
Thank you.
Thank you so much.
Do you hear a little reverb?
Yeah, still.
Okay.
Yeah, no.
No?
Is it gone?
No?
Okay.
Okay.
So, let's just, you know, answer all the questions.
Sure.
Let's go.
So...
That was my chair.
Okay.
So, this one is from Rotchiko-san.
Rotchiko-san.
Thank you, Rotchiko-san.
Thank you.
Rotchiko-san.
Thank you.
Rotchiko-san.
Thank you.
Rotchiko-san.
Thank you.
Rotchiko-san.
Thank you.
Rotchiko-san.
Thank you.
All right.
Okay, yeah.
Oh, really?
I didn't know that.
I didn't know that.
I'm just taking my shoe off and, like, it's the noise.
It's such a good microphone.
Yeah, it catches everything.
Yeah, of course.
All right.
So, wow.
Let's get that.
Yeah, there you go.
Hey.
Let's get the horns in, too.
Okay.
Horns, horns.
What are the horns?
Honk?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Oh, the air horn?
Yeah.
Yeah.
I'm sorry if that was a little loud, guys.
Yeah, it's a loud one.
Yeah, the horn is a little louder than the other ones.
Yeah.
The heartbeat is a little lower.
Yeah, true.
So.
Wait, so that message was sent when?
Can you see?
17th of May.
17th of May.
Okay.
When was the...
How many days after that?
What do you mean?
From this message?
Yeah.
Wait, what did the message...
The message said that it was like six days from now.
It's a...
Wait, no?
Did I get that wrong?
Yeah, yeah.
I'm just kidding.
Yeah, sorry.
All right.
All right.
It's like two, three days from...
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
It's true.
It's true.
Yeah.
Thank you.
Yeah.
Thank you.
Wow.
03:19
I'm getting a little bit nervous.
Yeah.
I guess that's the...
Is that when I imitated the...
Yeah.
Yeah.
Oh, okay.
I guess that's, you know, like the real beginning.
Yeah, I don't even remember when that happened.
I don't even remember when that happened.
At the, you know, cafe, no?
The cafe?
Yeah.
The Shibuya Cafe?
No, no, no.
Oh, the...
Okay.
The hour-ass run.
Yeah.
Oh, okay.
Really?
That was when I...
I guess.
Oh, that was such a long time ago.
Yeah.
Oh.
I guess.
I guess.
I guess.
Oh.
Oh.
What's that?
What is that?
I don't even remember this.
Oh.
I think it was when I was doing the Korean-Japanese accent and you were asking me a lot of questions.
And I was like, "Oh, what do you like to eat, Kevin?"
Oh, kimchi.
Something like that.
I think that was it.
And that's why she said...
That's why she said, "It's hot."
Yeah, exactly.
That's the Korean accent.
Yeah.
That's the thing.
Yeah.
That's the one.
Okay.
"You're so energetic that you're recommended to be a commercial voice for laundry detergent."
Shuma-kun.
Do you remember Shuma-kun?
The really good boy.
Really brilliant, fine voice.
Yes.
I remember.
Yeah.
I remember.
I remember that.
Yeah.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I remember.
Who isn't?
What's that?
Oh, it's the episode that you came to Japan and your mother took you to the public transportation
and tried to explain the whole thing.
Yes.
Yes.
And I was so embarrassed.
Mom, everybody's watching me!
Stop!
Let's go!
Let's get off the bus!
Come on!
Mom's like, "I'm showing you how to get off the bus, Kevin.
Just shut up and listen."
Yeah, I love that shit.
True.
"Agent Chubby Boy"
"I love this episode."
When I was in New York, right?
Yeah, yeah.
I was riding the subway, everybody but me, my whole family but me left the subway, I was
left behind, I ran to the door.
Yeah.
And, right, I tried to force open the door and everybody around me, "Chubby little Asian
06:02
kid."
"Kevin's Monomane Room" podcast.
Thank you.
Thank you.
You're really good at imitating those accents.
I like that.
Okay.
So what was your...
You know, we picked one episode.
Yeah, that's already out.
Actually, that was, I think, two days or three days before this episode is being uploaded.
I chose one, you chose two.
I chose the one where...
I forgot.
I forgot.
Which one did you choose?
Let me log in to Anchor.
As I was out because of the sick for like, some days, as we couldn't record our new episodes,
we both picked up some favorite episodes and fly back.
I had an opportunity to replay, do a replay of Kevin's Monomane Room.
And he said, "Curry?"
Oh yeah, that one.
Yes.
Remember the episode where we were talking about giving teiketsuatsu setsu and you were
describing all the symptoms for teiketsuatsu?
Like, "Oh yeah."
One of them was like, "Kare?"
And I was like, "Oh, I love curry."
"Oh, kare!
I ate that.
Yeah, I eat curry."
And you're like, "No, the aging.
Dumbass.
Aging.
Oh, aging.
Not the butter chicken one.
The aging one.
Okay."
I chose that as my favorite.
I love that moment to this day.
I love that one.
Oh, that's a nice one.
True, true.
I love that.
And you chose two.
One was the Omotesando Osampo episode and the "My Dad's on the Blacklist" episode.
On that episode, I did a shout out to my dad of like, "Are you still on the Blacklist,
Dad?"
Because my dad is still...
I think he's going to Mexico for his business.
09:02
Oh, sorry.
For business?
Yeah, for business.
He hates Mexico, by the way.
Why?
I don't know.
He said the food is terrible there.
Oh, really?
Yeah, he said he didn't like it.
I think he goes to Mexico every month or so.
Really?
Yeah, for business.
Okay.
Yeah, I did a shout out to him.
I asked him if he's still stopped by the TSAs.
And if they check every one of his stuff.
It's difficult if he has to be stopped every time he goes abroad.
Exactly.
Also asked him whether he still can't make a transfer flight because he's going to be
stopped by the TSAs and won't make it to the transfer.
So he has to book a direct flight, which is expensive.
So that's why he hates.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Funny.
Yeah.
I love that episode.
You know, not only those two, I have so many, I mean, so many favorite episodes.
Like not only episodes, but favorite moment.
Yeah, the moments are great.
It was really difficult for me to remember, you know, the moment was in which episode.
Exactly.
So I have so many, you know, fantastic moments, but didn't, you know, kind of understand that
which one was in which episode.
The titling doesn't help, right?
Yeah.
There's some random titles there.
I saw the titles, but...
What are you talking about?
It's easier for me to remember because I tell you, right?
Yeah.
But I picked one was your daddy's funny episode, which is quite like similar to you.
Yeah.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
It was funny for me.
Surprising you found that episode out of all the past episodes.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
You found the exact one.
Yeah.
I wanted to, you know, pick at least one episode, at least one episode about you and your dad.
Yeah, yeah.
So I'm glad that I found one.
Yeah.
And one another was just me, you know, walk outside, you know.
Yeah, right.
Through the street and...
I remember going to the unagi shop.
Yeah.
That was enjoyable too, you know.
For real.
You know, the the awkward unagi recording.
You know?
Yeah.
The outside recordings were pretty like one of the good ones, I believe.
Yeah.
That was funny and quite memorable.
We need to do that again.
Yeah.
We need to get our pin mics on again.
I was that we can go out and...
Yeah.
But you know, have to be connected.
To the microphone.
Yeah.
Absolutely.
It's funny.
Yeah.
Two men connected.
Right?
12:00
So weird.
Yeah.
All right.
That was about 10 minutes.
Yeah.
Okay.
All right.
Thanks for listening guys.
Thank you.
Bye bye.
Bye bye.
Thanks for listening guys.
Buh-bye!
