Good morning!
Good morning, great morning.
Another recording day.
Yeah.
Beginning of another recording day.
Man, what a place here.
Yes, thank you for coming over.
Where we are.
This is Kevin's new place.
Yes, we're recording at my house today.
Wow.
How was your ride here?
I mean...
Was it the rush? Was it the morning rush?
It was it. It was really like...
You know, I just came from the urban...
Like the far away.
So, you know, the app line.
Yeah.
The app rush line to Tokyo.
So it was tough.
But anyway, this is really like close from the station.
I know, right?
Amazing.
Took me just five minutes walk.
Mm-hmm.
And really like straight down and...
I know.
It's amazing here.
The location is pretty good.
Close from the station.
Like what you said.
And...
Yeah.
Amazing.
I admit...
And you got two ladies down there.
That sounds kind of like...
That sounds inappropriate, you know.
You got two ladies down there.
The...
The...
Yeah.
Right, because this building, this apartment is really meant for like...
Yeah.
The companies.
The people, right?
Like they call it Soho.
Like it's meant for small businesses like start-ups, right?
Yeah.
So it's half residential, half like office building.
And the owner told me that like 70% of the people that lives here are, you know, businesses.
Yeah.
So like the real business ranking.
I noticed it.
Yeah.
I, you know, tried to push your number at the entrance, you know, but she stopped me.
Yeah.
Excuse me, sir.
Excuse me, sir.
Oh, shit.
Where to?
I'm just...
I'm just came here to see my friend and...
And she was like, "Okay, please, where to?
The number, please.
And can I have your name?"
And, "Oh, okay."
Wow.
And she calls you, right?
03:00
Yeah, she called me.
That's pretty like...
That's some service here, you know.
I've never had this kind of like system.
So that means every time someone, like some of your friend come to this place, it's those ladies call you.
Yes.
But only during business hours.
So like not at late night, not on Sundays, on Saturdays.
Right.
Yeah.
If it's only...
If it's during business hours, they're going to be there.
So you're going to have to fight with them.
So the phone rings and you get the phone.
Yes.
And ladies...
When you say ladies, that makes it sound a little bit like...
I don't know, inappropriate.
But yes, you can scare people.
Yeah, those are two ladies.
You got to stop saying two ladies.
Wow.
And I used the lift and came this floor.
And your room is, you know, the farthest from the machine, you know.
And I walked through the...
The road.
The road, yeah.
The hallway.
The hallway, yeah.
And there's some "hyousatsu" on every room.
And they say it's like "kabushiki gaisha" or something.
Right.
Or "natural corporation".
All "koujin".
Absolutely.
The only "koujin" on this floor is me and the guy next to him.
Yeah.
That's me.
Wow.
Great place.
One thing that's awkward is every time I get out of this building,
if it's a business hour, the "ukatsuki" people are like "ittarashimasu".
And it's kind of awkward, like, just going to a convenience store, right?
Like they just greeted me goodbye.
Yeah.
Right, they said goodbye and came back and was like...
And then one thing I forget, oh I forgot to buy something on the convenience store.
I go, get out of this building and they're like...
They do that every time.
Wow.
Yeah.
That's fun.
And it's...
You can't...
It's kind of...
I hesitate before going out of this building.
I'm wearing pajamas like "Oh shit, should I not be wearing these pajamas?"
Because there are a lot of "koujin" people and maybe it doesn't suit this kind of atmosphere.
That's a little like, in the side.
Yeah, maybe.
Yeah.
But still.
Yeah, it's nice.
It's a good place.
I love it.
I really love it.
Yes sir.
I guess so.
You've got your own shelf.
Yep.
06:00
The TV on it.
Yeah.
Wow.
Everything settled?
Not yet.
Not yet?
I got the boxes still right there.
I gotta unload that.
I got to buy curtains for these two little windows.
Ah, this windows.
Yeah, I got three windows here.
It's pretty good, right?
Yeah.
I got to buy windows for them to keep it dark in the morning.
Yeah.
I still have to rearrange things.
I'm thinking about buying a work desk.
Work desk?
Yeah, like a place where I can actually, like not on this couch, but like actually sit down
and sit up straight and work on stuff.
Nice.
So I got to get that too.
I'm still organizing things.
Yeah.
Nice.
Wow.
Now you are a city boy officially.
I am officially a city boy.
I am officially a guy from Tokyo.
Yeah.
Cool.
It's another thing that I like.
That it's, there's a bridge right there.
Bridge.
Right?
Which is about, if you walk, it's about what?
I don't know, like five or six, seven.
By bicycle it's just really fast.
It's three minutes or something.
It's a bridge of Sumida Gawa.
Ah, okay.
Right?
And you can see this kai tree.
Oh, nice.
So nice.
The scenery is really nice.
It's like it's like a balance of the river, the bridge that's across from where you'll
be standing.
Okay.
And then the sky tree up above it, you know, just skyscraping its ass off.
Yeah.
It's so beautiful.
Wow.
Yeah.
That's another favorite part of the Maya.
Wow.
Yeah.
I guess this is kind of a dream place for you.
It fucking is.
It fucking is.
Yeah.
It is.
I mean, I can't complain.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I mean, like when you were a little kid, you dreamed this kind of place and now you are
here.
I am.
So it's amazing.
It's like a dream come true.
Yeah.
You know, this is amazing.
It is.
It's a dream come true.
Yeah.
Congratulations.
I finally got to be a part of Tokyo.
Like every time I look at a picture of a Tokyo when I was back in the States, I'll be like,
oh, it's so beautiful.
I want to be a part of that.
Yeah.
Right?
Now here I am.
Now you are.
Part of Tokyo.
Yeah.
Part of the picture that I used to like look and fantasize about, you know.
09:03
Wow.
Yeah.
Very story.
Yeah.
I'm happy.
Yeah.
I'm sure you're happy.
Yeah.
It's a great, great place.
Yeah.
Right.
Wow.
And I like the way you hang all your socks.
Thank you.
Do it really like, you know.
Thank you.
You've got style.
Yeah.
I call it the, what do you call it?
You got those same socks.
I have same socks.
And over there.
Yeah.
I have several exact same socks, pair of socks.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I do.
I do.
Yeah.
And where's your Tsupari bowls?
Tsupari bowls?
Tsupari bowls are, they're not, you see, it's kind of hard.
It was kind of hard to Tsuparu here.
Oh, really?
They're mostly in the toilet or the kitchen.
But I haven't fully, I haven't fully done the Tsuparus.
Yeah.
It's kind of difficult to Tsupari in this room.
Right.
Right.
Yeah.
So, all right.
I'm actually thinking about, I just told you that I'm going to be doing a Sakyō space.
Yeah.
I think I'm going to make a room here in the closet.
Yeah.
Closable.
Yeah.
Right.
Completely like shut.
Inside?
Inside.
Oh.
You think that's practical?
Isn't it a little too dark?
Yeah.
Of course I'm going to put them light, lights inside.
Right.
Like install some.
I mean.
Lights, but.
If it's not too small to you.
I don't think so.
Okay.
Then nice.
Yeah.
Good idea.
Like, you know, one of those like when you go to like stations in Tokyo, there's like
these little Sakyō boxes.
Yeah.
That like sharing small box.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
It's bigger than that, I think.
You know, in terms of like space wise.
Yeah.
Right.
It might feel a little bit claustrophobic, but.
We'll see.
We'll see.
Yeah.
Think about doing that.
Nice.
Nice.
Yeah.
You can use that.
Wow.
You've got your dancing laser light machine over there.
That is not my dancing laser light there.
That's my circulator.
That's cool.
It kind of looks like a dancing light.
And you've got your huge speaker over there.
The white one, you know.
My speaker.
That is not a speaker.
That's a huge speaker from the wall.
That is a air vent from the wall.
Amazing.
So you can dance.
It circulates the air.
Oh, cool.
What a place.
All right.
Yeah.
And that's 10 minutes.
Thanks for listening, guys.
12:00
Maybe you can invite two ladies down there.
That sounds really inappropriate.
That's like dance party here.
When you say two ladies down there, it sounds really, that just sounds like I'm a playboy.
And like I flirt with the ladies.
I never talk to them.
The only thing I said was like, "Let me try."
Okay?
Just on the record.
All right.
Thanks for listening, guys.
Bye-bye.
Alright, thanks for listening guys. Bye bye.
