Bed Bugsって日本にいるの?

居ると思う眠れなくなっちゃうね

Welcome to Kevin's English Room Podcast!
Hey!
Nice!
So, we've got a message from...
Is it Shino-san?
Oh yeah, I can see it at the bottom.
Yeah, this is Shino-san.
Thank you.
Hi, Kevin.
In English?
Yes, it's in English.
Okay, that's great.
Hi, Kevin and Yama-chan.
I'm a big fan of your podcast, and it's already an everyday habit to listen to this podcast.
The couple of episodes before, you guys were talking about the sweet dreams you had.
Yeah, and I had the sweetest dream recently too, so I wanted to share that with you guys.
So, it was at my parents' house in Japan with all three of you guys, Kevin, Yama-chan and Kake-chan.
And we were making something small, like folding a tsuru with origami paper or something.
And I started to hum a song while doing the work, and Kake-chan started to hum along with me.
And then, he stopped the work, stood up, and started singing the song, not just humming.
His voice got stronger and stronger, and it was like a concert at the end.
Everyone was like, "Oh my god."
But you two were going along with the rhythm and having fun naturally.
Wow.
It's already bizarre that you guys were at my parents' house folding origami, but I was like,
"Oh my god, he's singing right in front of me."
Since I don't get happy dreams much, it was the sweetest dream I've ever heard.
So, thank you for showing up in my dream and giving me a nice morning.
Love you guys.
I'll continue to support you.
Wow.
Shino-san.
Thank you for sharing that.
Wow.
That's so sweet.
Yeah.
But I've never been to her house, actually.
Me neither.
I've never been to her parents' house.
Yeah, me neither.
It's a dream, so I guess...
I've never been there.
Yeah.
I've never folded...
I've never folded to her parents' house.
I know.
She's lying, actually.
I know, but...
I've never been there.
I know, but it's her sweet dreams, right?
We don't want to like...
Don't be like that, man.
We don't want to ruin her great morning.
I'm not trying to ruin her great morning.
It's not the truth.
Come on.
It's not the fact.
Right.
It's just her projections, right?
And her dreams.
It doesn't really...
It's not connected with the reality of what's going on.
So, come on, man.
Well...
It's okay.
It's okay.
Is it?
Yeah.
03:00
Okay.
Let's just say we've been to the parents' house.
Let's just go with that.
I don't want to ruin her.
Okay.
Yeah.
Then, let's say...
Yeah, I remember when we visited to her parents' house.
Yeah.
It was like a big, big home with huge gardens.
Yeah.
10 dogs.
I remember that.
I remember 10 dogs.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Remember we like fed each one of them.
Yeah.
Like one of them was like really hungry.
Yeah.
Just ate all the other food.
The black one, huh?
The black one, yes.
Absolutely.
Yeah.
Yes.
That was...
Yeah.
Yeah.
We stayed there for like how many days?
Like five days, I think?
Ten days, I think.
Ten days?
Okay.
Where was it?
The place?
Where was it?
It was in...
I think Aomori?
Aomori.
Okay.
Wasn't it?
Yeah, I guess it was in Aomori, yeah.
We went by bicycle, right?
Yes.
From Tokyo to Aomori.
Yes.
The Aomori bicycle.
It was fun, huh?
It was fun.
It was fun.
Yeah.
Remember we made this huge like onisashiru in a bathtub, remember?
Like we had like three packs of...
Oh, did we?
Yeah.
How did we make that?
In a bathtub.
Like we bought like misos, like pack of misos, like five of them, just like dumped it in
a tub.
Yeah.
And put boiling water in it.
And wakame.
Wakame.
And we had all the dogs just licking in that tub.
That was one experience, right?
Remember that?
I don't...
Maybe we were drunk a little bit?
Maybe, probably, probably.
Yeah.
Because we drunk drove to the Aomori.
Yeah.
Okay.
Let's move on to the next step.
Okay.
All right.
Okay.
Do we still have time?
Yeah, I think we do.
We have...
Yeah, we have five minutes.
All right.
So this is from...
Yuna-san.
Yuna-san.
Thank you, Yuna-san.

Wow!
Yeah, I've heard of bed bugs before.
Yeah.
It's pretty bad, you know, if you get it.
Like, I think it's a thing in the US.
Like, if you get it, you might as well just change the whole mattress.
Oh really? Is that bad?
Yeah.
It might get in your carpet too.
You know, that's not good.
Oh yeah, ichi nichi ni goko no tamago wo umimasu.
That's terrible.
That's terrible?
Yeah.
Wow.
Fortunately, I've never had it.
Never experienced it.
Even not in my house, but not in like hotels or something like that.
Is it different from the one like little red point?
Little just one...
You mean like dani?
Is it dani?
Like little one, little like pointed, little kayui?
I don't know if that is...
It's not the same one?
I actually don't know.
Well, I guess that's dani.
It's different from dani.
It's maybe a bigger one.
That's a good question.
Because dani has a similar...
Yeah, it's a little kayui and...
What is it? Tokoji?
What was that?
Tokoji?
Kojirami.
Oh, is that dani?
I don't...
I guess it's not dani because it's bigger than...
That's huge.
Yeah.
And the red dot.
I guess that's what you got.
I hate seeing these pictures.
Wow.
That.
I didn't...
I didn't like it.
Oh, no.
Which one did you not like?
The actual insect picture or the one with the dots?
I don't know.
Everything.
Everything about it.
I just closed the window.
Mm-hmm.
But I know where you're coming from.
I feel you, man.
Yeah.
Yeah, but I never had this bed bug.
09:00
Me neither.
Me neither.
I don't think that the Japanese drugstore has a...
I've never seen a product of...
There's dani products, right?
But I've never seen a tokojirami product like that.
So I guess it's not so popular in Japan.
Maybe not.
I don't know why, but maybe it doesn't hanshoku as much.
I don't know why, but I guess.
Well, I don't like it.
That's pretty big.
Yeah, it was like this big.
I don't know how that thing would go in your mattress.
It's big enough that it probably wouldn't go through the fabric, right?
Yeah.
It really happens.
Under the bed or something?
Yeah.
It's terrible.
Like a cockroach.
Oh, I really hate this.
Oh, oh.
A short-term trauma.
Yeah.
Wow.
I hope I will never meet him.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Oh, bed bugs.
Well, thank you, Yuna-san.
Thank you.
For letting us know about this.
Okay, that's 10 minutes.
Yeah.
Okay.
Hope you guys keep your mattresses healthy.
Yeah.
Right?
Keep it...
Make sure to wash those covers.
Yeah.
Mattress covers, pillow covers.
Yeah.
Make sure you tenpi boshi as well.
Yeah, yeah.
Tenpi boshi is really good.
And an occasional airflow.
Airflow.
You know, under the mattress.
Make sure you get that airflow under the mattress right.
That's also very important.
Yes, yes, yes.
So, yeah, make sure you get that down.
Yeah, you should.
All right, thanks for listening, guys.
Thank you.
Bye-bye.
