Hello, welcome to Letters Lane. I'm Sophia.Tonight from this little room, I'd like to
share a letter with you. Sometimes, people touchour lives without us ever meeting them
face to face. A song drifting from the radio, amelody floating in through an open window,
that singing voice that becomes a part of ourmemories. Tonight's letter is an expression of
gratitude for the music that has stayed by ourside during the ordinary moments of our days.
Let us open tonight's letter together. Thank you,Michael Jackson.
Dear Michael, I was driving the other day when oneof your songs came on.
It wasn't a special moment, just an ordinaryafternoon. Traffic lights, people heading
somewhere, the kind of day that usually passeswithout much notice. But for a few minutes,
everything felt a little lighter. It made merealize something. Your music has been around
for so much of my life that I hardly notice itanymore. A song in a grocery store, a melody
playing from someone's headphones, a familiarchorus drifting through an open window.
It's simply there, and somehow that's a beautifulthing. We've never met, you never knew who I was,
yet your voice has been part of birthdays, roadtrips, quiet evenings, and countless
ordinary days. Not because I was searching forinspiration, not because I needed advice,
just because your music found its way into thebackground of life and stayed there.
I imagine there are millions of people who feelthe same. People from different countries,
different generations, different stories, yetsomehow connected by the same songs.
Today, I don't have anything profound to say. Isimply wanted to thank you. Thank you for the
music. Thank you for the memories attached to it.Thank you for the moments when a familiar
melody appeared exactly when it was needed. Andwherever you are now, I hope there is peace.
I hope there is laughter. I hope there is music.Your songs are still traveling.
Tonight's letter was titled, Thank You, MichaelJackson. Music possesses an astonishing power,
03:00
a power that transcends borders, crossesgenerations, and reaches beyond even those
moments we thought were long lost in the past. Asong that plays unexpectedly reminds us.
Of the path we have walked, of who we used to be,and of just how far we have come.
Tonight's song was born from those verysentiments. It is a song that teaches us,
that even if a voice eventually fades into ourmemories, the melody itself continues its journey.
Please, have a listen. The song goes on.
Thank you for spending this time with me onLetters Lane. Somewhere, tonight,
08:01
a nostalgic song might be playing. And somewhere, someone might be smiling at that very song.
Until next time, I'll see you in my next letter. This is Sophia from Letters Lane. Good night.
