A Brazilian man was arrested in Maebashi City for stabbing his male roommate in the neck with a kitchen knife and attempting to kill him.

According to Maebashi Higashi Police Station, the arrested suspect is unemployed Miyazaki Claudio Hiroyuki, 49 years old.

At around 7:30 pm on the 25th, he is suspected of stabbing his roommate Kawai Sergio, 47, in the back of the neck with a kitchen knife with a blade length of about 16 cm at his home.

Sergio was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Police are investigating the details of the incident."
