Around 2:00 PM on the 28th, a 14-year-old junior high school boy was splashing around in the water downstream of the Aima River in Takasaki City,
while playing in the river with a friend when he jumped into the river and hit his back and other injuries.
The boy was rushed to a local hospital with serious injuries, including a skull fracture.
According to Takasaki Kita Police Station, the boy had been playing in the river with four friends since around 11:00 AM on the 28th.
