Expressway traffic congestion forecast for Obon holiday announced.

Expressway companies have announced their traffic congestion forecast for the Obon holiday.
On August 12th at around 4pm, a traffic jam of about 40km is expected to occur on the Kan'etsu Expressway's northbound lanes, starting from the Takasaki Service Area and ending at Fujioka Junction. Overall, traffic congestion is expected to increase compared to last year.
The peak congestion is expected to be in the mornings of August 10th and 11th on the outbound lanes,
and in the evenings and nights from August 12th to 14th on the inbound lanes.
The number of traffic jams of 10km or more is predicted to be 167 times, 1.6 times more than the same period last year.
