On June 26th, 76 fifth graders from Tamamura Chuo Elementary School experienced rice planting in a rice field near the school. This was part of their nutrition education, and the children carefully planted each Koshihikari seedling while enjoying the feel of the mud.

The experience was conducted in a rice field of about 300 square meters, supervised by about 10 people from the local agricultural cooperative Fukushima Shimonita and the Fukushima District Farmland, Water and Environment Conservation Association.
