The village of Ueno in Gunma Prefecture has announced that it will start a fuel cost subsidy system for villagers as a measure against rising prices.
The system is for villagers with a driver's license, and only for refueling private cars, motorcycles, and minibikes, a subsidy of 20 yen per liter will be provided using a special card designated by the village.
