A 69-year-old and a 76-year-old woman have been arrested for kidnapping a teenage girl.
On the 1st, police arrested Miyata Mieko, 69, and Furuyasu Suzuko, 76, on suspicion of kidnapping a minor.
The two suspects conspired to kidnap a teenage girl living in the prefecture at around 2pm on March 31st, knowing that she was a minor, inviting her to their house in a restaurant parking lot,
and then kidnapping her.
According to the prefectural police, the two suspects have admitted to the charges.
They called out to the girl as she was leaving the restaurant after finishing her part-time job.
The girl had no particular acquaintance with the two, and the incident was discovered when she sent a message to a friend on a social networking site to the effect that she "seemed kidnapped."
