早速ですが、私は百貨店で販売員をしています。
最近は海外、主に韓国や台湾などからのお客様もとても多く、英語で接客をする機会も度々あります。
先日、接客をした外国人のお客様が、
普段こんな風に褒めてもらえることはないので、この時はとても嬉しかったです。
が、決して英語が流暢とは言えない私に対してこんなことを言ってくださるなんて、もしかしたらお世辞や社交事例だったのかなと思えてきました。
日本ではお世辞を言ったり言われたりすることは珍しくありませんが、
アメリカやフランスにもお世辞文化はありますか?
