新しい胃カメラ技術の紹介
Welcome to 英語で雑談!Kevin’s English Room Podcast.
Hello.
Hello.
Hello.
Hello.
A little update on my ICL surgery.
Oh, yeah.
So the eye doctor that I'm usually going to does not do ICL, so I had to find a different
place.
Okay.
I found it and I reserved it.
So my guess, so you have to do several, like, you have to go there several times to check
up your eyesight for the first one and then go there again to sort of like measure how
strong you want your lenses to be.
Okay.
Okay.
You get to choose.
Okay.
And then you'd order the lens.
Okay.
And then it comes to the hospital.
Okay.
Now you're ready for the surgery.
Okay.
So you have like three, four steps.
Yeah.
So I'm guessing the earliest time, timing that I get to do the eyes is around like the
end of 三月.
In the end of 三月.
Just like a month and a half from today.
Okay.
So, so possibly in a month and a half, my eyes could be powerful.
Yeah.
My eyes.
So I'm excited for that.
You excited?
Yeah.
I'm very excited for that.
Like I've overcome the fear of the knife in the eye.
I have.
Doing that surgery.
I feel, yeah.
I feel like I can take it.
Yeah.
I feel like, uh, I'm not scared.
Like I tried it myself, like have sharp object right in front of my eyes.
Yeah.
You trained yourself.
Yeah.
I trained myself.
I'm okay.
Like I'm not scared anymore.
So I'm ready.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I'm ready.
I'm ready.
Excited.
I'm very excited.
Yeah.
It's the end of this March.
End of the March.
Yeah.
Around the end of March.
Maybe beginning of April.
Month and a half.
Possibly.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
It's a new, new season with fresh eyes.
Yes.
New season.
New eyes.
Yeah.
Yes.
Yes.
Yes.
You're going to go like some like huge hospital or something?
I don't think it's like big as in size, but in terms of how much ICLs they've done, I think
it's pretty big.
Oh, okay.
Yeah.
Is it like an ICL special hospital?
Um, kind of like it.
It's not, they're not only doing ICLs, but I think they're pretty dedicated into doing
things like that.
Huh.
They do Lasix too.
Oh, yeah.
Other types of surgeries too.
But yeah, I think they're pretty limited to similar surgeries.
Yeah.
Like eye things.
Yeah.
I think so.
Yeah.
So they're professional, professional for those surgeries.
Yeah.
That sounds, you know, safer.
Yeah.
Reliable.
Trustworthy.
Yeah.
Reliable.
Yes.
Do you have a couple of lasers for your, uh, if Kaho shows you?
I haven't checked that out yet.
You know, as this today, you know, it's getting you.
Yeah.
It's coming.
It's coming.
So I, yeah.
And it's just one day thing, right?
Yeah.
So it's, it's, yeah.
I have to only be in the hospital for like several minutes.
Hours.
So this laser, like for the Kaho show.
Oh, for you?
Yeah.
Yeah.
For like probably an hour or two.
Right.
And then you're good to go.
So that's, that's really, really easy to do that.
It's not even like you've gotten like four stabs or like, it's, it's even faster than
you just go.
Yeah.
And like get some medicines from.
That's right.
Yeah.
Yeah.
That's right.
I think it's just like that.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I mean, I'm going to search it anyway.
You know, good or not.
Yeah.
Of course.
But yeah, I'm quite like open for that.
Yeah.
In terms of like new technologies for your health, do you, do you know that there's a,
there's a new type?
It's not out yet, but they're working on new type of Ikamera where you, all you have to
do is drink the small pill.
Oh yeah.
You've heard it before?
Oh yeah.
There's a small pill and in that pill, there's.
The camera?
There's a camera and there's also like propera to sort of navigate.
Propera?
Yeah.
That thing's going to, like that, there's a device that allows the capsule to move within
the body.
You mean it flies?
It flies.
It swims.
It crawls.
I don't know.
Okay.
And it has the ability, I think, to move within the body.
Like once you take it in.
Well, yeah, of course he has to be.
Yeah.
The doctor has a controller with the monitor, right?
And then the doctor can like use the controller to move that pill throughout your body to
check wherever the doctor wants to.
Wow.
Right.
And that's all you have to do.
And then now all you have to do is drink a gezai or something and then like shit out
that pill.
Well, yeah, to clean up your, your inside of it.
Yeah.
And then the doctor would get the pill back.
Oh, I mean, that's brilliant.
It's not hard at all.
You just, yeah.
Yeah.
It's just a little gezai and that's it.
Just drink the gezai and you're good to go.
I love that.
That's so much more easier on the body.
I love that.
Than have a tube fucking up your body, right?
That's one thing I would never want to do that.
I know it's good for your health.
I know it's really, really important.
I need to do that.
I honestly, I don't want to do that, the tube thing.
It's going to be a terrible experience.
I can't do that.
Like, I feel like you would suffer more than average.
Yeah.
Don't you think?
I think so.
I think so.
I know my throat is smaller than the average, like narrower than average.
You said the other day, you have trouble swallowing.
胃カメラの新しい技術
Yes.
Like from when you were a kid.
Yes.
Since I was a little baby.
Yes.
Yeah.
So like.
And you didn't, the mouthpiece thing.
You said you were like.
Yes.
Right.
That's true.
Yeah.
True.
Yeah.
I have no trouble doing mouthpieces.
Really?
So it's like, there's a difference.
I can't do things in my mouth.
You would like.
Yeah.
Right.
Even when you go to the hospital and doctor and you have a.
Oh, like the wooden bar.
Yeah.
I can't do that.
Oh, okay.
Honestly, the tube thing.
The tube thing.
Impossible.
Yeah.
It's scary, isn't it?
But I feel like the capsule thing is going to be a very long time before it's actually
out.
You know?
Okay.
If there was a way of like, if there was like a mother Gucci for donations for the medical
treatments that we want to have it fast, I would donate it.
I would donate it to that project.
You know?
For sure.
Yeah.
Man.
I mean.
That's a brilliant idea, by the way.
Yeah.
Yeah.
It's amazing.
It's great.
It's awesome.
It's great.
How about Bariumu?
Well, I've never tried Bariumu.
You have to drink it, right?
Yeah.
And then you can't burp.
Yeah.
At all.
And then you're attached to this.
Yeah.
And then it.
Oh, is it like rolling like that?
Yeah, it rolls.
You have to hang onto it.
Oh, no.
The bar.
And then the bar sort of like.
Have you tried that before?
No, I have not.
Okay.
I've only heard the story.
It moves through the.
It sort of like moves through the body.
I see.
I see.
I see.
I see.
And then it really makes you want to burp.
Okay.
But if you burp, you got to do it again.
Oh, God.
All over again.
I mean.
That's a.
That's terrible.
I mean.
Torture.
Yeah.
Yeah.
If you just listen to that story.
Yeah.
That's just a.
Oh, no.
That's just like abuse.
You know?
It is abusive.
Are you.
Do you think you're good at it?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Do you think you're good at holding in burps?
No, I can't.
You can't hold in burps.
If I don't roll.
If I'm not going to be like rolled like that.
Just sitting straight.
Then I probably.
I can.
Hold it in?
Resist.
Hold it in.
Yeah.
If it's like that.
They're going to roll you.
No.
You can't hold it in?
Even without body.
You know.
I just burp that.
In any ways.
Or like throw out.
Yeah.
Oh.
Oh, no.
It's going to be an experience.
Oh, yeah.
Are you going to.
Are you going to do it someday?
Like.
Like people say.
When you get to your 30s.
Yes.
Now it's time for you to do the body and the camera, right?
Those ningen dogs.
Yeah.
Ningen dog.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Are you planning to do it?
Or.
You're just going to let it sit?
Just think about it.
I'm just thinking.
You're just.
You're right now thinking about it.
Yes.
Yes.
Yeah.
But it's not even like.
It's still.
It's not pills that you drink.
But it's not tube anymore.
It's like.
It's more like a little small thin line.
Just like hair.
You know.
Oh, it's.
Yeah.
It's really.
It's become like easier and easier to swallow them.
I did not know that.
That's what I heard.
So I'm like.
So it's not like.
24-7.
Well.
I mean.
Yeah.
If you compare it to like two years ago, then now it's way easier than that.
Oh, that's good.
But I mean still.
If it's thin as hair.
Yeah.
It's not that bad.
Right.
It's not.
Like you can.
It's not that bad.
Don't you think?
Like.
You probably wouldn't notice it.
I mean.
For example.
Like.
When you eat something like a vegetable, I'd say.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And you chew the.
Let's say whatever.
Lettuce or cabbage or anything.
And then.
You can half swallow them.
Okay.
And then it's like.
Slight.
Like slow.
Slight thin.
Like a.
Or something.
Like.
And still something.
Still hair.
And still hair.
Okay.
Like.
It's.
You can feel it.
Yeah.
Oh.
Yeah.
It's still hair.
Okay.
Okay.
Oh.
That got me.
Ooh.
Even thinking about it.
Yeah.
Gets you.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Ooh.
So.
The fact that it's connected.
Something is connected.
From here to here.
That's just.
That's scary.
I don't know.
Yeah.
To me like.
Let me see how actually big it is.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Let me.
Let me look it up.
I want to see that too.
How do you look this up?
This.
Like.
Fiberscope.
Fiberscope?
I wonder if it's called that.
Hmm.
I wonder.
I don't know.
This is.
Fiber.
This is big isn't it?
This is big isn't it?
No.
This is a.
No.
No.
No.
This is a no.
No.
No.
I mean.
This is a no-no. This is a no-no? No, I mean...
This is like the normal big size. I think so, it's... yeah, it's too big,
like, bigger than I thought. If the doctor shows this to me, I would run away.
Thank you, doctor, I am now leaving. Yes, I would, I mean, honestly, I'd pay you,
but I don't want to do that, I'm sorry. You're gonna get your money? Yeah. I'm just gonna
leave. I'm still gonna get your money. Thank you. Have a good day. Yeah.
カプセル型胃カメラの概要
This is the jōzai-gatai camera.
Oh god, that's big. That is big. That is big. Oh no. What's the biggest jōzai you've ever swallowed?
But there are some big jōzais out there they give you in the hospital, right? What's the biggest one?
So it's not something I got from the hospital, but the one, like a vitamin C tablet,
it's like this shape, like an oval shape, and it was like this big. Like a centimeter,
like a one and a half centimeters long? Yeah, it's long like this. That's long. Yeah, that was big.
That's probably as big as that, then. Then you have experience swallowing this type of big pill.
It's smaller than hyakuen-dama, right? Well, it's not, it's as long as hyakuen-dama,
it's not as thick though, right? So probably easier than swallowing a hyakuen-dama.
But to be honest, I'm sure this is the better option. Yeah, it's probably easier. Yeah,
probably easier. You can just swallow one time and then you're good to go, right? That's better.
Oh no. That's pretty thick. They say that from the nose is easier though.
How come it's easier from the nose?
How, how is it? That's what I hear. I hear that it's less painful. Really? That's what I hear.
Yeah, yeah, I do. I do, actually. When I put my tissues in my nose. Up your nose, yeah?
My up to like two, three centimeters, it's painful already. It's painful? Yeah,
like I can't move it like forward. How about the q-tips that are bimbo? Yeah. How, can you
like really go up? I mean, no. No? Oh. I'm just like, you know, touching around it. I've never
put it that upward. It's really dangerous. Okay, okay. It's abreasable and all, like you couldn't
like. Well, I mean, I can withstand. Really? Yeah, like really down, like deep q-tips.
So my question is, you know how the doctors are holding like this controller on the other end?
Well, I know that you can move the very end of that camera with the controller, but what about
the middle? You'd have to bend the middle of the bar in order for it to go through the body, right?
Are they relying on the walls of our nose, nasal tubes? So does that mean that this
rope is going to hit against every curve of our nasal tube and reach the bottom,
reach the inside of our body? So it's gonna, every time there's a curve, it's gonna use the
structural sort of bending to sort of. Well, I think so. Shit, that's painful. It's like
you, the rope is touching every like, you know. That's painful. Surface of my inside.
Oh, that's frightening. Yeah, I mean.
But the thing is, there are places where they would do the Ikamera when you're sleeping.
That's better. Right? That's better. They put you to sleep and when you're asleep, they do it.
That's better. Yeah. So we should probably do that. I would love to. I mean, I prefer that.
Yeah. Yeah. I mean, I'm not prepared for that. I mean, I cannot do that when I'm awake.
Physically, it's impossible, right? It's impossible. The only way possible is
make me sleep and then do it. Because when you're asleep, you never wake up, right?
I mean, it's a Masui, right? Yeah. It's not like natural sleeping, right?
It's not natural sleeping, right? Yeah. Masui like automatic. Right, right, right.
Right, so. Yeah, I would awake if I'm like sleeping and somebody put my,
you know, tube into my nose and it, ah, stop that.
Oh, man. So this year, I'm going to do it.
When does that little capsule thing like toy, not toy, but like a.
This one, this Jouzai-type Ikamera, right?
If this comes. You're going to do it?
In next year, then I don't do this this year and do that next year.
Fair. Fair decision.
If I have to wait like 5, 10 years, then yeah, I have to do this like this year.
I mean, honestly, I would, I would whatever do that, like crowdfund or something.
I would love to do that. I would pay too.
So, now, we have a capsule-free capsule for symptoms.
Hmm.
Maybe there is already one?
Symptoms.
Do you put it in from below or drink it from above?
Ah.
There are some that you put in from below.
Hmm.
But, how is it?
Ikamera, is it the one that looks at symptoms?
In the first place.
I thought it was E9, but if you clean the inside with barium, can you see all the way to the bottom?
No, but barium and e-camera are different.
Oh, they're different?
Different kind of inspection.
Oh, okay, okay.
Yeah, you could just do the e-camera, not the barium.
Oh, I see.
So then, e-camera is like, just from here to like, E camera.
Oh, okay.
Oh, but you do have those.
Where?
Yeah, like that.
Oh, this one?
So you can do it?
Yeah, you can do the inspection just by drinking it.
What the...
What is this...
side?
I mean, it's...
Okay.
Oh, so it's like a large intestine.
Oh, so it's like a large intestine.
What about the stomach?
Oh, you mean the stomach isn't done yet?
Oh, we have to do a little bit of research on this, right?
I mean, if you can do that to like, large intestine and small intestine, then...
Wait, so you don't have to do the barium?
It doesn't matter?
Yeah, you have to clean everything at least.
Oh, barium is for that?
No.
It's for cleaning? I didn't know that.
Yeah, I mean...
It's for you to...
It's for you to...
It's for you to take pictures easily.
I don't know.
I don't have any idea.
Me neither. I've never experienced.
100,000 yen?
It's 30,000 yen for health insurance,
and 100,000 yen for charity.
カプセル型胃カメラの検討
That's expensive.
Oh, but we have that.
Yeah, we do have that.
Yeah.
It's disposable.
So you drink it, and then you wait until several days until it comes out.
Okay.
100,000 yen...
It's a bit expensive.
But it's for the health though.
Well, I mean...
It's for your health though, man.
I mean, yeah.
Are you gonna...
Sleeping, e-camera would be better?
Yes, that's the one option.
Depending on the price?
If that was 30,000 yen or something, that's better.
But you know, using massage is a little, you know...
Still, it's a little scary.
Like zenshin massage.
Is that scary?
Yeah, highly risky of like...
What's the risk?
I mean, you won't be never be awake again.
Really?
Yeah, it's that dangerous.
So you sign it before they do that.
Like you could die?
Possibly.
I mean, it's rare though.
Oh, well, that's scary.
I did not know that.
Well, you know, everything is improving.
So less and less, I guess.
But there...
There's a risk of that.
So two options to me.
Sleep or...
Pay in Jumaiyan and do that.
Yeah, yeah.
Okay.
But you know, if you think about...
What if there's a cancer?
Fucking up your body, right?
Jumaiyan is cheap.
Yeah, for sure.
Thanks for listening, guys.
Thank you. Bye-bye.
