三笘選手の復帰
Welcome to Kevin's English Room Podcast. Hello. Hello. Hello. What's up guys?
Remember last week we talked about football. Yeah. The World Cup and Japanese national team.
There's this big news. Okay. Good news. Okay. Mitoma is finally, has finally back.
Oh, yes. You might know this, but I already did know. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Of course. Yeah.
Uh, when's, when will he, when will we get to see him? Sorry? When's the next match? Next match? I
guess this weekend. This weekend already? Yeah. Okay. He played last weekend. I know that.
Yeah. He's been injured for four or five months, I guess. Okay. Okay. Yeah. Right. Right. Right.
And finally he's, he's back. He looked, so he played 30 minutes, 20 minutes. Sure.
Um, he looked bigger than before. Oh, like muscular. Yeah. Well, that's great. Well,
he's been working out, I guess. I guess so. Nice. Yeah. And, um, he was very sharp.
The movement was very quick, fast. He looks very tight. Very in good shape. Oh, that's great.
That's great. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. That's a great news. I'm excited for that. Yes. Very excited.
Yes. Yes. Yes. And also Tomiyasu. Yeah. Tomiyasu. Yeah. Um, he's also, he has been injured.
Oh, okay. For a very long time. Okay. But now he, it's finally, I guess, decided that he's,
he's, he, he is recovered and, um, new team to play, to play with. Okay. Um, in Netherlands.
Finally. Finally. Okay. So, and then we, uh, we can expect him to be there at the, uh, world cup.
I guess so. I hope so. That is exciting. Yes. That was exciting to, you know, the biggest players.
久保選手について
Star players. Yeah. Yeah. What about Mr. Kubo? Um, how's he doing? You know, he is a good player.
He's, he's, he's a very good player. By the way, did you know there's a huge statue of Kubo in
Shibuya? Really? Yeah. No, I didn't. No, no, I've never heard of that. It's like, um, I don't know
still we have that today, but, um, it's, it's, um, uh, you know, 109, that you have like a,
like a cross. Yeah. Yeah. The Scrabble. Right. Right. If you're standing the 109
side and you see the right side, there's a huge Kubo statue. Wow. It's, it's, it's very huge.
It's funny. I mean, I get, okay. If it's, if that's Shohei Otani, I get it. Yeah. But like
Kubo-san? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. It's huge. Do, I mean, I guess guys know, but like, do,
I don't know. Do, do like, do the ladies know that are interested in soccer? I think so. Do
they know Kubo-san? Yeah. Okay. I believe so. Okay. Yeah. So, um, yeah, he's a good player.
He's been a good player and he will be a good player, but, um, um, he's in Spain. He plays in,
uh, in, uh, in a team in Spain. And, um, I think it's, I don't know, maybe it's the team doesn't
fit him. Okay. I mean, he plays so good, but he's not shining. Yeah. In that team. I feel like,
okay. Maybe the manager isn't like treating him as like properly to me. Okay.
Well, he's changed. Yeah. He's changed teams. I feel like he's,
the entire team is like kind of underrating him. Kind of. Well, that sucks. Yeah. I think he's,
he, he can play like better than that. But, uh, you know, the Kubo-san isn't a player, somebody,
some, somebody like dribble by himself and do it everything by himself. He's a team player.
Oh, okay. So I feel like the better the team quality is, the more shining Kubo-san will be.
I feel like. I see. And so. So he can understand where all the players are and he can decide
in a millisecond, like where to place the ball. Right, right, right, right. Okay. Yeah. So.
Hopefully the Japanese team will shine. Yeah. True. True. Yeah. True. And then, uh,
Douwan-san, he scored a goal. He scores a lot of goals. Yeah. He's like, he's like a beast. Yeah.
Right. Right. Yeah. And also, um, it's been said that we, we're lacking the center forward for a
long time, the world level center forward for a long time, but now we have Ueda Yase. Okay. He's,
he's scoring a lot, a lot of goals in the Netherlands. Oh, wow. That's great. Yes. That's
great. Yeah. He's under the coach, a famous, former famous player. Okay. Very strong striker.
Okay. And, um, the guy is teaching directly the, uh, ISSN and then. Center forward is the
striker. Yes. Yes. Yeah. Okay. So it's like, he, he's like, um, he's learning from the legend.
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. It's great. It's like you're learning, um, from Hulk Hogan. Yeah. WWE. I guess
so. Yeah. In the new world. I guess so. Yeah. Like how, how to cook from Gordon Ramsay. Oh,
that's great. Oh, wow. How do you run a company by Donald Trump? I don't know. It's like that.
Okay. Sure. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Wow. So we're in a good mood. That's awesome. Yes. I am excited.
三笘選手の帰還に対する期待
I am very excited. Yes. Can't wait. Next year, right? Yes. Next year. Which month do you know?
June. June. Okay. All right. Half a year. Yes. Yes. I'm excited. I'm excited. Yeah. And,
uh, we don't know which, uh, country we're going to be playing first, right? Out of the four.
Uh, yeah. First, uh, that was, I guess, Netherland. Oh, it's already decided. Yeah. I think that was
fixed. Got it. Got it. And in Dallas, in Texas, we're going to play in Texas. Wow. Yeah. Got it.
Texas. Nice. Okay. Sure. We're going to play two games in Texas and one game in Mexico. And it's
not that far. Like, well, it's, it's a far place, but yeah, you know, sure. Some play, some countries
need to like move, like the whole country and that's tough. Okay. That's great. So we're
in a great, yeah. Very excited. Yes. Not bad. Not bad. Yeah. Yeah. So have you been playing soccer
recently? Oh, no, no, no. Yeah. We played, uh, together years ago. Years ago. Right.
Sort of ended. Yeah. Right. I feel like since then I don't, I haven't played that. Okay. All right.
Since then. Yeah. Yeah. I wonder if, uh, the, the, the, the program guy is, uh, is still in
a sort of like, he said he was in a soccer team or something, right? Yes. Yes. I wonder if he's
still playing. He is. Is he still? Oh, wow. He said he is playing regularly, like every weekend.
Shit. That's great. And he said he's in the best condition ever in his life. Better than high
school. Yeah. He can run, he can play. He said he's now it's the best of him. I kind of ran for
that to happen. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Around the 30s. Right. Oh, that's great. He, he, he said, um,
you guys should run. Yeah. Yeah. It's not too late. It's not too late. Yeah. We can still
recover. Yeah. Okay. All right. That's why he said so. Yeah. Yeah. You should play. What, what,
what about your, how's your knee conditions? My knee conditions? Um, you know, my knee conditions
aren't that bad actually. Okay. Um, before I had the surgery, um, I was kind of on, uh, an exercising
program where I would do like a full on dashu. Wow. Right. And you're good with those? And my
legs are okay. Oh yeah. Full on dashu until you get tired and then you walk a little bit and then
dashu until you get tired, walk a little bit. Oh. I was doing that kind of exercise and my knees were,
well, it did hurt. Oh. But you know, but I could still run. I could still run, you know.
Stop doing that. You know? No, no, no. That's uh, no. If it hurts, you should stop doing that. Yeah.
Yeah. It's like, right. So you know how all the exercising has like a, you have a goal. I'll do
three sets. I'll do five sets, 10 sets. You know, my program was end when my knees started hurting.
Yeah. Yeah. Right. So right. It does still hurt I guess then to answer your question. Okay. Yeah.
My knees does still hurt. Okay. Okay. Well then let's do something different. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
All right. That'll be better. Yeah. What about, um, yeah, we talk about in the next episode.
What sports would be the best for you? Got it. Yeah. Suck with that. Yeah.
Thanks for listening guys. Thank you. Bye.
