Welcome to Kevin's English Room Podcast.
Hello guys.
So, this is from…
This one.
Alligator-san.
I don't think 頑張っているように聞こえている。
Many of the Japanese stores, right?
Don't speak English, right?
So, you know.
I guess relative to that,
their experience with you is much more,
your English is fluent,
I guess that's what they're saying.
I don't think it's the 頑張ってる.
They're not saying it as an irony?
No, not at all.
Your English is very good.
It's frank and hard.
Not at all.
Not at all.
So, you don't have to worry about it.
And what's the reply?
Your English is really good?
He only has, thank you.
Well, I mean, that's a great go-to.
It's like the most basic one.
I would say that too. Thank you.
I would say that.
What would you say?
If somebody comes to you and just,
Oh, your English is very good.
I would say something like, oh, thank you.
I mean, I lived in the States, so.
That's what I would say.
So, you gotta find something like that, you know.
You gotta find something to divert theconversation into something else.
I don't know. Thank you.
I've been studying English for five years now.
You can say something like that, you know.
And then you have to follow that up with adifferent conversation to not make it awkward.
03:00
Or you can leave it awkward.
Or you can leave it, you know.
You can have it end the conversation. That's okaytoo.
Right.
He or she is saying that his or her Englishimproved
thanks to this podcast.
That's what the message says.
It's the truth.
Yeah.
He should say like, yeah, thank you.
I've been listening to this podcast.
You should listen to it.
And recommend it to the people.
And then spread it to the world.
Got it.
That's a great idea, you know.
Have the URL ready.
Print some QR code.
Have them scan it right in front of you.
It's a great idea.
Yeah.
You should do that.
You can keep conversations going on.
Talk about the shows.
That's a great idea.
It's a great idea.
We gotta really think about monetization of theshow.
Man.
Honestly.
Honestly.
Honestly, man.
Start thinking about a way.
Right now, we have the YouTube ad revenue.
That's great.
But that's it.
Thank you.
That's it.
We're grateful for that.
We're grateful for that.
Absolutely.
Obviously.
Absolutely.
We're grateful for that.
But yeah.
Yeah.
We ain't getting anything from podcasting.
That's right.
From the audio.
Yeah, that's right.
One idea is to up the quality of the YouTube video
so that more people would watch the video.
I see.
Maybe add a thumbnail.
Maybe add a transcription.
But we're gonna need somebody to do that.
Yeah.
So that's one.
That's one idea.
The ad thing.
Well, that's always been open.
Our GMU show, me and Shoji-san, we've been talkingabout it.
But haven't done anything in place.
You guys are talking about it?
Yeah.
We kind of are.
He was like,
So, Kevin, you've been wanting to have somesponsors on the show.
Let me introduce you.
I found some.
I did my job.
I got you this platform you can...
It'll sort of match your podcast with the ads, with the sponsors.
Maybe you could start with that.
And they'll be like, that's great.
Let's try it.
Let's try it.
Great idea.
06:01
Nothing happening.
Nothing happening so far.
Zero match?
Oh, yeah, zero match.
Wow.
I don't know if it's even public.
I don't know.
I have to ask Shoji-san about that.
So that's that.
Three.
Three.
Start a Patreon.
I talked to you about that several months ago.
That's that.
We're gonna be collecting directly from theaudience money.
So that's another angle.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So.
Right.
Yeah, those are some of the things to think aboutfor the show.
Yep.
Yeah.
So far, right now, we do have YouTube.
It's not a negative.
Right.
It's not a negative.
Right.
We're having fun.
I mean, at least I'm having fun.
I'm studying.
I'm learning English.
I mean, having a conversation in English, thatitself is already a value.
Conversation is fun.
So it's good.
So that's good.
That's good.
But still.
But still on the business side.
You have to think about it on the business side.
Yeah.
Yeah.
We're very open for anything, honestly.
True.
We are.
For this, like, me and you doing this podcast.
We can kind of do many things, maybe.
I don't know.
We can.
Oh, like product placement?
Yeah, maybe.
Yeah, that's one.
That's true.
We can put it here.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Right.
I don't know.
We could.
We could.
We can eat something.
We can eat something, yeah.
We can eat something.
Sure.
We can drink something.
I could change my glasses.
Oh, yeah?
I could change my glasses if you'd like.
You can try out some Meganes.
Yeah, true.
Every episode, different Meganes.
That's fun.
That's fun, right?
That's fun, yeah.
It's very fun.
Right.
Oh, I'm open to skincare.
Oh, yeah.
I'm really working on my skincare.
If there's any product that you don't...
Oh, yeah.
True.
I would love to see it.
You have to promote it, right?
True.
You have to promote it, yes.
I would have to love it then.
You have to, yes.
That's gonna be even more difficult than otherproducts, I guess, if it's skincare.
Because I have so much, like, it has to be this,it has to be that.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Right.
But I am interested in it, though.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So.
Yeah, so.
Something to think about.
Yeah.
09:01
At least the conversation itself is fun, right?
Yeah.
Right.
Right.
All right, so.
Thanks for listening, guys.
Thank you.
Bye-bye.
