Welcome to Kevin's English Room Podcast.
Hello, guys.
I'm going to pick some random message from the list.
This one.
Tae-san.
Thank you for your fun stories.
Thank you.
The other day, you said,
Well, thatツッコミ is kind of irrelevant
because in English you can say
I have nothing but gratitude.
Yeah.
So, that's the exact same phrasing.
True.
Yeah, so, right?
English has the same exact way of saying it.
So, I don't know how that
Yeah.
That's the same thing.
Same thing.
Exactly the same thing.
True.
Yeah.
So, yeah.
I mean, we think about these language situations all the time.
Yeah.
So, it's like really quick.
We can really think of the same sort of phrasing.
Right, right, right.
Yeah.
Next question then.
Yeah.
So, one message above.
Okay.
This is from Emi-san.
Emi from Yokohama.
Thank you.
You know this place?
Huh?
No, I don't know.
This chocolate place.
I guess so.
But Las Vegas has a Hershey's factory.
Oh.
No, no, sorry.
That's an M&M's factory.
M&M?
M&M's factory.
Oh, M&M.
Yeah, M&M's.
You know why?
It's all like M&M.
Oh, the rapper M&M?
I thought they were like M&M factory.
Oh, no, no.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Okay.
I've never been to any character-themed place.
Yeah.
Maybe there were some,
but me and my family were never interested in going there.
Anything in Atlanta?
Theme parks?
I don't think so.
I mean, I'm sure there are some.
Yeah, yeah.
Or any UNCs.
Ah, so we have Florida right above Georgia.
Okay, okay.
Which is a huge place for theme parks.
They got the Disney World,
they got the Universal Studio,
SeaWorld, Six Flags.
Yeah?
It's like a Fuji-Q, but American version.
Okay, okay.
Yeah, so, you know.
If you are going to look for theme parks,
you all go to Orlando.
So.
Yeah.
They're too big.
Let me search it up.
See if there are any theme parks in Atlanta.
Maybe in Rome?
There's nothing in Rome.
My man.
Really?
There's nothing in Rome.
Any big, like, famous theme park?
Famous theme park?
Yeah.
Um, there's a gun range.
A gun range?
Oh, okay, okay.
That's, you know, that's fun.
Well, yeah.
Must be fun.
You get to shoot guns.
Especially if you're Japanese, you've never shot a gun, right?
True, true.
Yeah.
Gun range.
Yeah, it's the gun range that I,
it's the first place that I've ever shot a gun.
Yeah.
It's quite amusing.
Yeah.
It's quite an experience, you know?
Yeah, yeah.
You literally, you're holding a gun.
Yeah.
And right when you pull the trigger,
so you can feel the explosion in your hand.
Wow.
So it's, it's, it's, it's basically,
you're basically exploding something
and using that force to push the bullet.
Wow.
Right?
So in your hand, there's an explosion going on.
And that impact is so big.
Wow.
And that, that, that, that pushback
and that, that, that force when it explodes,
that's like, it's scary.
Yeah.
Okay.
Okay.
I see.
Yeah.
It's the real feeling.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Okay.
Wow.
Yeah.
It's different from air gun.
Oh.
Yeah.
It's the explosion.
It's very different.
Wow.
Air gun, do you even feel the pushback?
A little bit?
A little bit, but it's just air.
So I don't, I don't think that much.
So I'm assuming when you shoot an air gun,
it's just like, boom.
And then you push back a little bit.
Yeah.
But like an actual gun, it's like your whole hand.
Yeah.
Wow.
It pushes back.
So you have to really like, oh, like stiffen up that elbow.
Wow.
And then like.
Oh, wow.
It's pretty scary.
Oh, that's scary.
Yeah.
In the movies or things, they just do like that.
Oh, yeah.
I think it depends on the model.
Oh, okay, okay.
I think those cheap gun ranges in Georgia, in Rome, Georgia,
I think the models of the guns are really like low.
So the impact is much more, it comes to you.
But I guess the higher models, it's much more smoother, I would say.
I see, I see.
That sounds interesting.
It sounds interesting, right?
Right.
I definitely recommend going to a gun range if you go to America.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Yeah.
Is it everywhere in America?
Yeah.
Not only Rome, Georgia?
Yeah.
Yeah, I think it's everywhere.
No, like exclusive in Rome, Georgia.
Oh, no, it's not exclusive in Rome, Georgia.
There's nothing exclusive in Rome, Georgia.
No.
Six Flags
Wait, I searched up theme parks in Atlanta.
Yeah.
Yeah, in Atlanta.
They have six flags.
Oh, the one that Florida has, the same thing?
Yeah.
Oh.
Yeah.
I didn't know that.
And they also have a Lego Discovery Center.
Wow.
It's a Lego theme park?
Yeah, Lego theme park.
It's like the one in Nagoya.
Wow.
Yeah.
I wonder if that's still alive.
Is that still alive?
I think so.
Okay, let's go.
I think so.
So there are Lego characters.
Yeah.
I assume.
Yeah.
Yeah.
What is Six Flags?
Yeah, let me show you a website.
Six Flags.
Rides and experiences.
Six Flags
All attractions.
So you got the roller coasters.
Yeah, I see.
The go-karts and the roller coasters for kids.
It's like Disney.
True.
You know, it's really similar to Disney.
Yeah.
Like U&G.
Yeah, it's like U&G.
Yeah.
Wait.
Rock climbing.
I...
Oh, you've been there before?
Yeah.
Utah?
Yeah.
Utah?
If Utah has a Six Flag?
Yeah.
Well, that's a no.
Sorry, I'll do it.
I'll research.
Yeah.
Wait, how do you spell Utah again?
U-T-A-H.
U-T-A-H?
Yes.
U-T-A-H?
Yes, yes.
That's Utah.
Yeah, yeah.
U-T-A-H.
Utah.
Oh, I don't know any.
But I remember I went to this kind of theme park.
Like, I remember riding these machines.
Oh, okay.
In like one rounding roller coaster.
Yeah, so a lot of spots in America,
they just have like a solo machine.
You know, it's not like a theme park,
but in tourist attraction places,
they have this like...
You know how in Japan,
in random places,
you have like these like bungee jumping spots?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Or like, I don't know,
some random...
It's like that.
Ah, I see.
So maybe you rode on one of those.
It wasn't like a theme park.
Yeah, yeah.
I lost my cap.
Oh, you did?
Yeah, I remember that.
Oh, okay.
Like this ride.
The 360 ride or something?
Oh, the swing?
Like the swing,
like the big ship swinging like that.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
And I lost my favorite cap, red cap.
Oh.
Yeah.
Well, that's sad.
I remember that.
Oh, you remember that?
Okay.
Okay.
Yeah.
But Utah doesn't have any six flags.
Obviously.
Obviously.
All right.
Thanks for sitting, guys.
Thank you.
There must be many people to visit.
Oh, absolutely not.
Not in Utah.
