Welcome to Kevin's English Room Podcast!
Howdy!
Howdy!
Hello!
Howdy, howdy!
Like a cowboy.
Yeah.
Howdy!
It's an expression that I learned when I was a junior high school student.
I read a book, a textbook, and it says that you never be told in Japan, but this is a
common expression in the United States.
Howdy!
Okay, howdy!
Oh, did your friends taught you that?
Yeah, that's what the books told me.
So yeah, the book told me, like the textbook told me, and then when I was junior high and
I was like, yo, howdy man!
Okay.
Yeah.
Recently, I noticed that it's not common.
It's not that common.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
It's not so, not many people say.
Yeah.
Anyways.
How are you?
You good?
I'm doing good.
Um, uh, my back's great.
Yeah.
Get better.
My diet's going well.
I lost one kilogram.
I'm not a big fan of the diet.
I'm not a big fan of the diet.
I'm not a big fan of the diet.
I'm not a big fan of the diet.
I'm not a big fan of the diet.
I'm not a big fan of the diet.
I'm not a big fan of the diet.
I'm not a big fan of the diet.
I'm not a big fan of the diet.
I'm not a big fan of the diet.
I'm not a big fan of the diet.
I'm not a big fan of the diet.
Yeah, my diet's going well, I lost one kilogram.
Wow.
Which is big.
Yeah, it's big.
Yeah.
I mean, it's not like, you know, one of those.
Yeah.
Yeah, of course.
Cause you're not that fat.
Yeah.
But like it's, it's only one, but still.
Yeah, of course.
You know, it's a show in progress.
Yeah.
Yeah.
You started like, uh, what was that?
The golden week.
Yes.
The golden week.
The healthy week.
Like, it's like just two weeks or three weeks.
Yeah.
Wow.
And you still continue.
Yeah, I'm actually still continuing my healthy diet.
Okay.
What do you eat?
What do you eat?
So usually I eat, um, a healthy amount during lunch.
Okay.
And then.
A healthy amount.
Yeah.
Um, night try to stay with only like one, like, you know, simple and a Gary, like one,
like a salad bowl or something like that.
Uh, I, I try to not eat anything like that's oily at night.
Like I try to not eat anything.
That's not anything too much.
Okay.
Anything.
Okay.
I'm out of my, my limits.
Yeah.
Um, don't take sweet things.
I'm not taking any sweet things.
Oh, that's cool.
I am.
I'm tempted to though, but like, and I have a convenience store close by so I can go and
grab a little ice cream or of course, yeah.
Like the dessert section or smoothies.
03:01
Yeah.
Um, but I am, I am a fighting.
Oh, you're a strong man.
Wow.
I'm winning actually.
Oh, that's a, I strong man.
You are.
Thank you.
Yeah.
It looks sharp actually.
Well, thank you.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Um, I'm trying to, uh, go to the gym more often.
Oh, cool.
Play more soccer often.
Yeah.
I haven't been able to do like the solo play yet, but, uh, okay.
But I will.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Let's do the next training session.
Yeah.
Let's do that.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
True.
Oh, that's nice.
Yes.
Yeah.
So, um, not only the weight, but like the mentally or like, you know, physically, do you feel not really light at all?
It doesn't change that much.
Only at night when I go to bed, not feeling stuffed.
Like before this diet, I, uh, there were so many times where I ate like more than full
in two months and I had to go to sleep with all this, like, yeah, still food.
The food.
Yeah.
Yeah.
My stomach.
So now I feel a little bit hungry and then go to bed.
So that feels, I mean, it feels kind of good.
Yeah.
Oh, I feel light.
Oh, I feel like there's no fat being absorbed.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So that, that feels good, but that's the only thing that it doesn't like when I wake up in
the morning, it doesn't really like, I don't feel any of a difference.
Oh, really?
I don't feel that sharp.
Um, yeah.
Okay.
Cause I heard, you know, eating less helps you wake up, you know, in a better situation.
Right.
I thought that that was going to play out, but it didn't really make a difference actually.
Okay.
Yeah.
But yeah, at least you look sharp and yeah.
Feel like little light and that's good.
I do.
I do.
Yeah.
Thank you.
I mean, you know, healthy health is, you know, the most important thing in this whole wide
world.
Right.
I mean, coming from you, that doesn't really sound right.
You think about doing something or doing anything, you know, health is the most important thing,
the most basic thing.
And yeah.
Right.
I saw a video once, I don't know what the title was, but like even if you have all the
things in the world, right, like if you got all the money, all the fame, or if you have
everything you can imagine, but if you wake up one day with a cavity and your teeth hurts,
that ruins everything.
Yeah, true.
That, so the video was trying to say that health is the most important.
06:00
So even if you know how we're working every day to strive to get closer to our desires,
whether if that's like financially successful or like achieving a goal or something like
that.
Scale wise.
That's under the assumption that you're healthy.
True.
So true.
Yeah.
That video made me realize that all right.
Yeah.
That's true.
And that's what I, you know, I've realized and noticed.
Are you going to do anything to like improve anything or are you going to make any changes?
You know, eat healthy.
Yeah.
Just like you.
That's really important, I guess.
You know, I'm not trying to reduce my, you know, amount of food, but you know, change
it into like healthier one.
Like nutrition.
Yeah.
That's really important.
Or maybe I have to take supplement a little bit.
Maybe it's like, you know, which, which, like, which vitamin I am.
Okay.
You know, those little things say it's high for you to iron.
Or like, like, like vitamin D's and those.
Yeah.
What does iron and vitamin D do to your body?
Iron is kind of make you strong, make you energetic.
Oh really?
Yeah.
And your, you know, may I keep.
You get better.
Okay.
Those I'm not that professional, but that's what I feel.
I have to take, you know, so many nutrition's and keep my body stronger.
It's kind of surprising cause my image of you were like already kind of a healthy guy.
Yeah.
Actually I've been trying, you know, eating healthy food.
Even more?
But yeah, maybe.
Wait, so you don't think that you've been meeting the standards, your standards of like
eating healthy?
I was doing good actually.
I guess that like, uh, it was that much more than average, but um, still, still maybe.
Yeah.
I don't know why.
Or maybe sleep, sleep longer.
Okay.
Maybe.
Yeah.
But you know, I don't know the reason cause you know, as you know, you know, I've been
doing, you know, good, you know, like doing healthy, you know, daily things.
So I guess I'm much better than the average healthy rate.
And you told me last time that your sleeping habits were pretty good.
09:00
Yeah.
Yeah.
Funny, isn't that the show?
Yeah.
Don't know what to do, you know.
Okay.
How about teeth, man?
Like, how did you get in your teeth kind of like, popping out?
Yeah.
It was just, just before the day I get sick, I got sick.
So I had, I went to the dentist and get back to my place and start feeling bad.
So it's just, you know, still it's replaceable, you know, it's a, yeah, fake teeth, tentative
one is on and feel so bad.
Oh yeah.
Still, but it's covered at least.
Why does your back keep popping out?
I frequently hear, oh my god my teeth, teeth are so hard.
I don't know.
I don't know.
But that's a problem of my shape of my cavity.
Okay.
It's like a, it was a little big one, big cavity.
So I had, it was that side and then, you know, dentists have had to, you know, crave my cavity
like this shape, you know?
Like in a triangle?
Yeah.
Yeah.
So for, yeah.
So a triangular hole in your teeth.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Oh wow.
Okay.
So, you know, like my teeth, tooth was like this and dentist cut my teeth like in that
shape.
So the base of your teeth was, yeah.
It made a hole.
Yeah.
So he cut my tooth into like this shape.
So for the dentist, it's really hard for him to, you know, put, you know, new ceramic teeth
in because the shape is like this.
If the shape is like that, yeah.
You know, it can like strongly attached and, you know, but the shape is like this.
So it's really easy for, you know, this ceramic to pull out and especially when I do like
flossing or like eat something hard.
So that's what happened to my teeth.
And so this time the dentist tried to cut my teeth into this shape.
A square-ish.
Yeah.
Square shape and put my shinke into a little deeper side.
You can move your shinke?
Yeah.
That's what, that's the new, new, new, you know, invention.
He told me that it's like, like some month ago, there's a new invention that you can
touch to your shinke and you can put it into like deeper side.
Yeah.
So that you can do little new things.
You had your, uh, masuji, right?
Yeah, of course.
Of course.
Nothing.
Nothing.
Wow.
Yeah.
So he showed me that, okay, this is the shinke and I'm going to put this into and.
12:00
It's like, but I didn't feel nothing of course, but wow.
So your shinke is just adjusted.
Yeah.
It's yeah.
I got inside and.
Well, I hope it's stable now.
Yeah.
It doesn't pop off anymore.
Yeah.
I have to go in the next week to go to the dentist.
To the, to, to, you know, all the way back to Kanagawa.
Yeah.
He's a really good dentist, you know, he's really good.
So now I trust him and that's why I go there.
So yeah.
You know, healthy body, healthy teeth, you know, make sure sleep well, eat well, brush
your teeth.
So convincing.
Okay.
Thanks for listening guys.
Thank you.
Bye bye.
Bye bye.
Hey, good sitting guys. Thank you. Bye bye.
