Because I personally do not know what country I'm now from. Yeah.
Like I don't know if I'm Japanese, I don't know if I'm American, I actually do not know.
Yeah. At this point of my life. Yeah.
Because I've stayed in Japan for so long. Okay.
Now over 10 years. More than half of my life I believe.

It's true.
And like now I've become so accustomed to the Japanese culture.
And I'm so good at blending in to the Japanese people and the culture.
That's what you believe. Yeah, I believe.
At least I'll say I believe. You are.
So like, yeah, there's a lot of part of me that I feel like the American side of me is lost.
Yeah.
Like I don't, the sense of humor is now I'm more the Japanese side.
Like when I talk to people, I approach things in a more Japanese way.
I'm now not used to hugging people anymore. True.
Right? When I was in the US, I was so used to hugging people when I came to Japan.
I was like, "Oh, let's hug." But like people freaked out.
And I've adjusted to that. Yeah.
And like, and now you say, "Yeah."
Yeah, that's really Japanese. It's so Japanese, right?
And I always do like whenever I end a Zoom call, I always not cut so fast.
I always be like, "Ah, there's a guy, there's a guy, there's a guy."
And then I cut it off. Yeah.
If you were American, I was just, "Ah, thank you."
Bam! You're done.
Well, like, see, I don't do that anymore. Yeah.
So like there's a lot of part of me that now my, it's like an identity crisis, right? Yeah.
It's just, it's very difficult.
I have a Japanese parent, but I grew up in an American environment.
I speak both languages. Yeah.
You know, now I'm better at Japanese, but there was once where I was better at English, right?
Yeah.
The fuck, right? It's just, it's a forever question that I will never be able to answer.
True. Right.
That is true, actually. Yeah.
Nationality. Mm-hmm.
Ah, it's just, you know. Yeah.
Well, actually, you don't need to, you know, you know, set someone into one nationality, you know?

Like, yeah, it's a kind of difficult topic, but...
It is a very difficult topic. Yeah.
Like, it's just, it feels rather like, it's closer to like an LGBT kind of problem, you know? Yeah.
What country are you from is more of like a discrimination-ish kind of like vibe I sometimes feel. Yeah.
So it's... That's true.
It's a little bit of a sensitive problem, I guess, if you know. Yeah, yeah.
Like, I understand that, think about, you know, like taxes, you know, jyuminhyo, you know, those governmental, you know, procedure.
Then you have to declare to the government that I, you know, have nationality or I am living in this country, you know?
That's important to, you know, organize the people. Yeah.
But, you know, talking about simply like where you're from or like nationality or, you know, what kind of, you know, those questions are...
Yeah.
...unnecessarily at all to me. Yeah, right. Yeah.
Taking a step back a little bit, have you, do you feel anything, any part of me that you feel like, "Oh, wow, this is like American culture in me."
I have some things sometimes I feel that, I felt that.
But, you know, I'm not sure if that's American thing or it's Kevin thing.
Ah, okay.
You know, as, you know, as she mentioned that nagane issho ni ite, you know.
So, I'm not sure if it's American thing or it's your own, you know, personality things.
Yeah.
So, like things like you love pizza way too much.

Like compared to like usual Japanese guy.

Like to me that's kind of American to me.
But I know not every American people love that much amount of sugar.

Like, you know, in nations, you know, conversation.

That's really American to me.

I feel those things from you.
But and to me that's kind of American.

I'm more accustomed to the Japanese side.
