Welcome to Kevin's English Room Podcast!
So tomorrow we are going to do our very first Nanahoso Radio.
Yep.
Yay!
Tomorrow, what means Monday, December 14th.
Yes.
At 8 o'clock?
It was 8.
8pm?
No, it was 9.
No, it was 8 man.
Was it 8?
No, I think it was 8.
Really?
Yeah, I think it was 8.
It should be from 9.
Alright, check your calendar.
I guess.
It's 9.
Oh shit.
Is it really?
Maybe I'm wrong.
Is it really?
Hold on, I gotta check my calendar.
It says 9.
Yep, it's 9.
Okay.
Sorry about that.
It starts from 9.
From 9.
Is that radio?
Kind of radio maybe.
But we are going to air them over live video streams.
So not through YouTube.
Not through audio only.
From YouTube.
We may also do an Instagram live too.
So maybe if Instagram is more accessible to you, maybe try that out.
We're going to be doing them every Monday.
Every Monday from 9pm.
Yes, it will be exciting.
Yeah, it's a new challenge.
It's a new challenge, right?
Right?
Live.
Live streaming.
It's not going to be so much of a "kikaku kikaku" kind of thing.
It's just free talk.
Just like this podcast.
But in Japanese version.
Oh yeah, that's a big difference.
Right, and Kake-chan's there.
Yeah, of course.
It is a big difference.
Yeah, that's right.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I'm kind of excited.
So if you have any topics, please DM Kake-chan.
Kake-chan has his own Instagram account open.
So if you would DM Kake-chan, he will pick it up.
And he will be kind of like the host of the show.
Kind of like I think.
He would pick it up and hopefully have the topic on the podcast.
On the radio.
Streaming.
It's about really like inside of ourselves, right?
Right, and also engagement with the audience.
Try to have more communication with the audience.
Hopefully have some sort of a call-in kind of live show.
Oh, that's fun.
Right, be able to talk with the audience on air.
While doing a live stream.
That's new and exciting, right?
And yeah.
03:00
Okay.
That's what we'll be doing.
And hopefully it will continue.
And it will be enjoyable.
Right, right, right.
Do you like live streaming by the way?
Well, I don't know.
I haven't done much of a live stream for me to tell if I like it or not.
But so far I don't hate it.
Okay.
I think there are upsides.
Like you get to actually talk to them like live, right?
You get to see the comments.
You get to pick that up.
And I think that's a huge upside.
Right.
But yeah.
I don't know honestly.
But I'm not uncomfortable.
Right.
I'm not uncomfortable in front of the camera.
Right.
And also I started a, I pre-opened my A-Kaiwa.
Oh, yay.
It's still in pre-open mode.
What do you mean pre-open?
I'm still testing them out.
So I'm asking the students how the classes were.
So not everyone can apply?
Everyone can, but I'm asking them for reviews.
Okay.
And I'm pricing them half price as usual.
Oh.
And it will end in like a week.
And after a week it will be full open, like home open.
And right.
Right, and if you get to talk to me for, if it's one on one, it's 20 minutes or 40 minutes.
Okay.
And if it's a group lesson, me versus three students, it will be like 30 minutes.
And right.
Shokyu, Chukyu and Jokyu.
Oh, that's nice.
And right.
Okay.
I've done, so my pre-opening, I've done Shokyu, Chukyu and Jokyu.
And the Shokyu and Chukyu, like it was sold out really quickly, but Jokyu, it did not.
Really?
Yeah.
No one really applied for the Jokyu.
Wow.
Only one person.
Wow.
But I can understand that.
Right.
I do understand.
Like I, so I do have to like balance out the amount of classes with the Jokyu and Jokyu.
Because like no one's, there is no limit with the Jokyu.
Right.
Everyone would think someone's way better than me.
So like I shouldn't be in the same class with them.
And I understand how they would stay away from the Jokyu.
So I have to maybe like play around with the wordings maybe or like do something to actually
to be able to apply classes that actually really close to the actual level of the students.
So, you know, that I have to think about.
People cannot say that I am the Jokyu student.
Yeah.
06:00
It's difficult, right?
It is, it is, it is.
Yeah.
Oh, that's nice then.
Yes.
Thank you.
I'm executing on my dream.
Yeah.
Which is a great thing.
I'm happy for that.
Yeah.
You're really excited to fully open.
Yes.
Introduce that to the world.
Yes.
And where can I, where can we find that?
Right.
My personal Instagram account.
Okay.
@kevinofker.
Okay.
And I'm also a Jokyu student.
Yeah.
So I'm a Jokyu student.
Yeah.
And I'm also a Jokyu student.
Yeah.
And I'm also a Jokyu student.
Yeah.
And I'm also a Jokyu student.
Yeah.
And I'm also a Jokyu student.
Yeah.
And I'm also a Jokyu student.
Yeah.
And I'm also a Jokyu student.
Yeah.
And I'm also a Jokyu student.
Yeah.
And I'm also a Jokyu student.
Please check my Twitter.
My personal Twitter account.
Whenever I add a new lesson, I would tweet.
Okay.
And so you get like the latest, newest information on my Twitter account.
So be sure to check that out too.
Yep.
Great.
Yeah.
Everyone's doing something new, huh?
Yeah.
Yeah.
That's a great thing.
Nice thing.
New thing.
Yeah.
So, yeah.
Oh, great.
I love it, man.
So tomorrow is going to be our first live streaming?
Yes.
Our first live streaming.
Mm-hmm.
Uh-huh.
Yes.
So please check it out.
And we are trying to, as you said, messages.
Messages?
Are open to the public, right?
Right.
For...
Questions?
For the live radio, right?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Right.
Right.
Not questions, but like, I think topics.
Kind of like answers that Kake-chan asks.
Oh, okay.
Kake-chan kind of asks you a question.
A question.
And then it's open for answers.
Like, "What's the latest news?"
"What's the latest what-what?"
And then you get to answer the question.
And if he picks, chooses it, it'll be on the radio.
It'll be on the radio.
By radio.
Right.
That's kind of how it's going to turn out to be.
All right, all right.
Very exciting.
Uh-huh.
Right.
Uh-huh.
You talked a lot.
I did.
Yeah.
I did talk a lot.
Do I talk a lot when I speak in English?
Do you think I do?
Uh...
Like, you mean compared to Japanese, right?
Yeah, yeah.
Like, a little bit speedy.
Speedy.
Yeah.
Okay.
When you speak in English.
Uh-huh.
You're a little bit, like, speak fast.
Oh.
A little bit.
Uh-huh, uh-huh.
Compared to Japanese.
Do I have a darker voice, like a lower voice, when I speak in English?
09:05
To me, I feel like I do.
Okay.
Like, I feel my Japanese a little bit higher.
Speaking Japanese.
Speaking Japanese is like this.
I think that's a...
When you speak in English, I'm a little bit lower.
Right, right.
Low, like, uh...
Like, a little bit lower.
Right.
I think I'm using more of my stomach muscles to speak.
Yeah, I can see that.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Deeper voice.
Deeper voice.
Uh-huh.
Do I...
Do I see more handsome when I speak in English?
What?
I just wanna...
Okay.
Do I...
Let me tell you the truth.
Okay, let's go.
I don't want you to treat me as a child, you know?
Gotcha.
I wanna tell something.
Okay, okay.
Tell me.
I'm ready.
I'm a big man.
Come on.
It's completely the same.
Oh, shit.
Oh, shit.
Completely, completely the same.
It's completely, like, completely.
Completely.
100% completely the same.
Yeah.
Doesn't change a bit.
Not a bit.
Not a slightest inch.
Not a slightest millimeter of it.
Like nothing.
Nothing.
Nothing.
Oh, but I found that when you're speaking Korean, you look handsome.
Ah.
I just got it right.
Do I draw a picture?
I'm good at drawing.
I'm a good-looking guy.
And say goodbye.
Say goodbye to the listeners.
Hello.
Hello.
No, you have to say goodbye.
Goodbye, right.
Okay, I'm gonna try.
Okay.
Hello, we are BTS.
Hello.
Let's do it.
I wanna practice opening.
You have to count that.
Two, three.
Ah, got it, got it, got it.
Okay.
Okay.
Two, three.
Bang.
Bang.
Hello.
We are BTS.
Yeah.
How do you say goodbye in Korean?
What was that?
Oh, what's that?
Can you...
Can you...
Let's Google it.

Ah.
Ah-nyeo.
Ah.

Ja-ga?
