welcome to Kevin's English Room podcast
hello hello hello so right do you have anything in your mind
no I'm just worried about the microphone covering my mouth oh yeah
I'm doing this now oh great hope this is better now mm-hmm yeah yeah okay so this
is from Nass Ichiko-san okay thank you thank you Nass Ichiko-san I remember I said oh I
deleted the message yeah right I remember that too right yeah
間違って消してしまったとおっしゃっていたメッセージはもしかして私の物でしょうか
もしかしてと思いもう一度同じものを送らせていただきます
and I remember that was about Kyoto and cafes okay in Kyoto so was it this one
maybe this one oh nice thank you wow thank you what a move yeah

OK
What a quick briefing
Isn't it better to keep doing it?
Versus what?
Yeah
Wait, versus what though?
I guess stop learning
Oh
So, OK, all right
Is it better to stop learning or is it better to keep learning?
Keep learning, of course
Yeah, keep learning is better, right?
Of course
Of course, yeah
What a question is this
Right
I mean, well, to me, but you know, but the studying and using it is kind of same to me
Yeah, I agree
Yeah, so this is to me studying English
I agree
So, it's like it never, it never stop
Yeah
Like
Right
Yeah, I agree, I agree
So, but sometimes it's difficult to find somebody who can speak or use that language with
Because I can speak with you in English so that I can improve my English
But it's sometimes like to me difficult to find French guy or like someone who speaks French
06:00
You know, it's sometimes difficult for me
Right
I don't have that much opportunity, I mean, close to like zero opportunity to have conversation
with friends in Japan
So, I guess my French hasn't been improved since way back
Yeah
So
Do you ever want to live in France?
I do
Yeah
Yeah
You think it's better there overall?
Overall
I mean, that's like a question
Yeah
I love Japan
Yeah
And I love France
So, it's not like which country is better
Okay
Overall
But
Okay
Weather wise
Yeah
I prefer France, I mean, the south side of France is like sunny day, bright always and clear
And dry
Right
So I prefer that
Having beach, having oceans and foods are good in France
So, yeah
Yeah
But will you ever make decision of living there?
I don't know
Maybe in the future
Maybe
When you accomplish a lot of things
Yeah
You get bored and have nothing else to do, you might go to France
Maybe in the future
But
Yeah
I haven't ever thought about this like carefully, like in real
I just dreamed about those things, but never actually think about that
Right
Your job and everything, right?
Yeah
Yeah, like that
The shakai hokans
Exactly
Taxes
Yeah, and everything like that
Yeah
See, in the last episode, I talked about I met a friend who is living in New York
And you know, friends told me that tax is really high
And you know, the friends are living in Manhattan, so the environment is quite difficult to,
for example, have family and raise children
Right
Yeah, you know
The rent is high
Really high
Told me that just one usual, like the usual like one-k apartment
30 million yen basically
Wow
If you want a family type, 100 million yen over, it's a regular price
I mean, it is New York, right?
Yeah
Yeah
So, you know, living in New York sounds cool and sounds great
But if you carefully think about those and also mentioned about those Nenkin things
09:03
Yeah, the friends haven't, you know, decided that living in the United States forever
Maybe come back to Japan or move to different countries maybe, so
Nenkin
So it's like should he join the pension or not?
Japanese Nenkin or like United States like
I see
1k thing
401k, yeah
Yeah
Okay
So that's another difficult point
I never imagined those real things, so
Yeah
A lot of struggles, huh?
Yeah
Well, what does he do?
Consultant
Wow
Yeah
Consultant
A consultant
Researching company, I guess
Wow
In Manhattan, right?
Yeah
Wow, what a killer
Yeah, what a killer, yeah
I'm a consultant in Manhattan, New York
Yeah
Living in the close to the Central Park
Oh my god, what a killer
That's a killer, yeah
Has he, did he meet any like celebrities? Did he talk about that?
No
You went to Famous?
No
Because that's what I hear when you go to New York
In New York?
It's like a lot of like, okay, no
Oh, okay
I didn't mention those, but
Maybe too busy, maybe?
Maybe?
Oh, is he very busy?
But compared to in Japan, less busy
Was he in like one of those really busy companies?
Yeah, I guess so
Okay, I see
Well, good for him
Yeah
Okay, all right
Thanks for sitting guys
Thank you
Yeah, hi.
