0692 Daily Easy English Lesson PODCAST—go to bat for someone

They say a person can really feel happy IF they help another person "for free"!! I think that's true--for most people!! Well, today's expression is kind of that like. Sometimes the people around us NEED some help in order to get something--a new job, a good project, a chance to go somewhere--and WE have the power to possible help that person. Just recently one of my students asked me to recommend him to a university in the UK. I was happy to do that--he was a great student. And, fortunately, he was accepted!! YAY!!
